Leeds United are yet to appoint a manager, but the club are working behind the scenes to identify possible signings with Nick Hammond in place as the club’s sporting director – and below, are the 15 players linked with Leeds so far.

The 15 players linked with Leeds so far:

Amad Diallo (Manchester United)

Diallo starred for Sunderland on loan last season, scoring 13 league goals. He is now back at Manchester United, after failure in the play-offs. According to the Sunday People (25/6; page 56), Diallo is wanted on loan at Leeds.

Karl Darlow (Newcastle United)

Illan Meslier and Joel Robles could both go this summer, meaning Leeds need a goalkeeper. Football League World say Leeds have internally discussed a move for veteran Darlow, who the second half of last season at Hull City.

Freddie Woodman (Preston North End)

Woodman is another Leeds have discussed behind the scenes, after impressing in the Championship once again. FLW say alongside Darlow, he is another. He kept an excellent 17 clean sheets in 49 games for Preston last term.

Ryan Manning (Swansea City)

Manning will leave Swansea on a free this week, after the Swans confirmed he will not be signing a new deal. Again, it was FLW to say that Leeds are considering a move for the Ireland star – who could replace left-back Junior Firpo.

Nat Phillips (Liverpool)

The latest of this list of players to be linked. Phil Hay says the Liverpool defender is a target for Leeds, but he would cost a fee of £10m. A more-recent report from The Mail states he is keen on leaving Anfield for more game time.

Harry Winks (Tottenham Hotspur)

Linked loosely by Samp News 24, 27-year-old Winks is expected to leave Tottenham in the next few days. It comes after an up-and-down loan at Andrea Radrizzani’s new side Sampdoria. He is likely to join relegation rivals Leicester.

Pierre Kunde (Olympiakos)

Greek outlet Nova Sports said Olympiakos man Kunde was ‘packing’ his bags ahead of flying to England and joining a Championship side – with Leeds the only club named. That was a few weeks ago and since, nothing mentioned.

Gus Hamer (Coventry City)

Hamer would be a sensational buy. The Brazil-born Coventry star produced 21 goal involvements for Cov last term, including the winner over two legs to beat Middlesbrough in the semi-finals. FLW say Leeds are eyeing a move.

Jayson Molumby (West Bromwich Albion)

According to a report from The Sun on Sunday (18/6; page 59), Molumby is a target. He was a constant in Carlos Corberan’s side last season at West Brom. With the Spaniard unlikely to be our next boss, a move seems unlikely.

Marek Rodak (Fulham)

Rodak has endured a difficult time at Fulham. First choice for both seasons in which Fulham have been promoted, he has lost his place to new signings when in the Premier League. FLW say he is another stopper being considered.

Viktor Johansson (Rotherham United)

Johansson is the goalkeeper that Leeds are said to want the most, of the four linked [Darlow, Woodman, Rodak]. FLW say the Swedish stopper, who starred at Rotherham last season, is a target. He will cost Leeds a fee.

Sory Kaba (FC Midtjylland)

Bit of a left-field one, but Kaba impressed during his half-season loan at Cardiff City last term. FLW say Leeds scouts watched him while in Wales on loan from Midtjylland last season, as he went on to score eight in 17 games.

Emmanuel Dennis (Nottingham Forest)

According to Nigerian outlet Complete Sports, Dennis is an option and Leeds are preparing an offer. Forest signed a multitude of players last summer. Some will have to go, Dennis being one. He would be a wonderful Leeds signing.

Kian Breckin (Manchester City)

The Mail say Leeds are battling Newcastle for the talented Manchester City man. Yet to play in the senior side, but certainly catching the eye in City’s reserves. Leeds and City do have a good relationship after recent transactions.

Bright Osayi-Samuel (Fenerbahce)

Turkish outlet A Spor say ex-Blackpool and QPR winger Osayi-Samuel, now a full-back and Nigeria international after his move to Fener, is a £9m target. He spoke this week about his desire to return to English football.
