The Leeds United squad for the 2025/26 season has many players at manager Daniel Farke’s disposal.

Leeds United Goalkeepers

Lucas Perri

Lucas Perri was signed as Leeds United’s new first-choice goalkeeper from Lyon in the summer of 2025.

Illan Meslier

Illan Meslier is a young French professional goalkeeper known for his shot-stopping abilities and his ball-playing in possession. He impressed in Ligue 1 for FC Lorient before moving to Leeds, claiming the number one spot.

However, he lost his place in 2025 after a series of costly errors and is now third choice after failing to secure an exit in the transfer window.

Karl Darlow

Leeds moved to strengthen their options between the sticks following the Whites’ relegation from the Premier League in 2023 by signing Karl Darlow from Newcastle United. The goalkeeper left St James’ Park for £400k, having won the Championship title with the Toon in 2016-17. He played a crucial role in the 2024-25 title win after coming in for the final six games.

Alex Cairns

Alex Cairns returned to Leeds United in 2024, following a previous spell through the academy ranks and into the first team.

The goalkeeper strengthens the squad’s goalkeeper options for the 2024-25 campaign after leaving Salford City.

Leeds United Defenders

Jayden Bogle

Leeds looked to strengthen their full-back options in the summer of 2024 by signing Jayden Bogle from Sheffield United. The flying wing-back has impressed in the Championship and Premier League during his career so far, with hopes of doing the same at Elland Road.

Gabriel Gudmundsson

Leeds signed Gabriel Gudmundsson from Lille for £10.3m in the 2025 summer transfer window. The Swedish left-back was recruited to replace the departed Junior Firpo.

Pascal Struijk

Pascal Struijk joined Leeds from Ajax in 2018, initially joining the under-23 ranks. He became a prominent member of the first-team fold following promotion and is now closing in on his century of appearances for the Whites.

Joe Rodon

Tottenham Hotspur agreed to loan Joe Rodon to Leeds for the 2023/24 Championship season.

The Wales defender had impressed for The Whites, so much so that he signed permanently the next summer in a £10million deal.

Jaka Bijol

Jaka Bijol was Leeds United’s second summer signing of the 2025 window after arriving in a £15m move from Italian side Udinese.

Sebastiaan Bornauw

Leeds United made Sebastiaan Bornauw their third signing of the summer transfer window in 2025 after picking him up for a bargain £5.1m fee.

James Justin

Leeds snapped up versatile defender James Justin from Leicester City in a bargain transfer of £8m, rising to £10m, for the FA Cup winner.

Sam Byram

Leeds awarded Sam Byram a one-year contract to return to Elland Road as a free agent in 2023. The full-back earned a second spell in West Yorkshire whilst on trial following his release by Norwich City. He had left Leeds in January 2016 to join West Ham.

Max Wober (on loan at Werder Bremen)

Max Wober has left Leeds on loan for the second time in his career, joining Werder Bremen for the entire 2025-26 season.

Isaac Schmidt (on loan at Werder Bremen)

Leeds paid just £2.5million to sign versatile defender Isaac Schmidt from St. Gallen in August 2024. The Swiss star is capable of playing as a full-back on either flank as well as a deeper midfielder if required, but is spending the season on loan at German side Werder Bremen.

Leeds United Midfielders

Ethan Ampadu

Farke signed Ethan Ampadu from Chelsea in a £7m, rising to £10m, transfer in July 2023 for his first signing as the manager of Leeds. The Wales international headed to Elland Road after six years under contract in west London, where he has since been named club captain.

Sean Longstaff

Sean Longstaff brought his near 20-year stay with Newcastle United to an end to join Leeds United upon their promotion to the Premier League in the summer of 2025.

Brenden Aaronson

Brenden Aaronson is a tidy attacking midfielder who oozes creativity. He was signed from Red Bull Salzburg in May 2022 for £25m and offered an attacking outlet in midfield

Anton Stach

Leeds United recruited Anton Stach for £19.9m from Hoffenheim. He became their sixth signing of the 2025 summer transfer window.

Ao Tanaka

Ao Tanaka made a deadline day switch to Leeds in the summer of 2024, with the midfielder moving from Fortuna Dusseldorf. The Whites paid roughly £3m for the Japanese international and he was a revelation, playing a crucial role in the Championship campaign.

Ilia Gruev

Leeds struck a last-ditch deal with Werder Bremen to sign Ilia Gruev for £4m in August 2023. The Hungary international moved to England after eight years with the German club, for whom he broke through as an academy graduate.

Leeds United Attackers

Daniel James

Leeds agreed to a £25m transfer with Manchester United in August 2021 to sign long-term target Dan James. The Whites had targeted the Wales winger’s signature before his move to Old Trafford. His pace tore defences apart with Swansea but he struggled in the Premier League.

Joel Piroe

Leeds paid Swansea £12m to snap up Joel Piroe in August 2023 after the striker entered the final year of his contract in south Wales. Whites chiefs believed he could add another element to their attack after scoring 46 goals and assisting eight in 96 Jacks games.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Leeds United signed Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer following his release from Everton in 2025.

Lukas Nmecha

Lukas Nmecha was Leeds United’s first signing in the 2025 summer transfer window after joining on a free following his release from Wolfsburg.

Noah Okafor

Leeds managed to snag AC Milan forward Noah Okafor for an initial fee of just £13m, though that could rise by as much as another £5m.

Jack Harrison

Jack Harrison arrived at Leeds United ahead of Marcelo Bielsa’s first season in charge and went on to spend a few years on loan before signing permanently from Manchester City.

He then left for two years on loan for Everton after Leeds were relegated, but is now back in the first-team, much to the annoyance of supporters now the Whites are back in the top flight.

Wilfried Gnonto

Wilfried Gnonto is an attacker who is capable of playing in various roles across the frontline. His breakthrough season was in 2022-23 and was an attacking force as Leeds earned promotion.

Joe Gelhardt (on loan at Hull City)

Leeds took advantage of Wigan Athletic’s financial plight to sign Joe Gelhardt for just £1m in August 2020. The forward had featured 21 times in first-team fixtures for the Latics. But he only made his debut in Leeds’ first-team squad at Southampton in October 2021.

After spending the latter half of the 2024-25 season on loan at Hull City, the striker has returned there for the duration of 2025-26.

Mateo Joseph (on loan at Mallorca)

Leeds raided the youth ranks at Espanyol to sign Mateo Joseph in January 2022, fending off widespread competition. The striker was due to be out of contract in the summer of 2020. After a spell in the Whites’ academy, Joseph made his first-team debut in November 2022 under Jesse Marsch at Tottenham.

Joseph agitated for a move in the summer of 2025 and eventually joined Mallorca on loan for the season.

Largie Ramazani (on loan at Valencia)

Largie Ramazani joined Leeds in August 2024 for an undisclosed fee and will spend the 2025-26 season on loan at Valencia.
