Leeds United might be teetering on the borderline when it comes to Profit & Sustainability Rules, but the club continues to be linked with new signings since the summer window shut.
Managing director Robbie Evans said the club have maxed out PSR, but reports say Leeds are ready to do some business. Leeds insider Graeme Bailey says Leeds want to bring one or two in come January.
It might mean that some players are sold, and LeedsUnited.News has outlined four possible departures in the new year. Below, are the 13 players linked with a move to Leeds since the summer window ended.

The 13 players linked with Leeds move since the summer window
Nico O’Reilly (Man City)
Leeds were linked with O’Reilly soon after the window ended. Versatile, O’Reilly is a rotational player under Pep Guardiola but the Spaniard won’t want to lose him on loan in January. Likelihood rating: 4/10.
Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace)
One of the best strikers in the Premier League. But Mateta is not going to be interested in joining Leeds. This is a player worthy of Champions League interest, but Leeds have been linked. Likelihood rating: 0/10.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Free agent)
Oxlade-Chamberlain is looking for a club in England after his Besiktas exit, and Leeds have been linked. But the chances are that Leeds only consider him a last resort and prefer others. Likelihood rating: 2/10.

Hayden Hackney (Middlesbrough)
Arguably the best midfielder in the Championship, Boro academy product Hackney is pushing his side towards promotion. Leeds are interested, but a midfielder is not what they need. Likelihood rating: 4/10.
Isaac Price (West Brom)
Price is the kind of position Leeds will be targeting in January. An attacking midfielder also able to play out wide. Graham Smyth is a fan of Price, with Leeds loosely linked with a move. Likelihood rating: 6/10.
Josh Sargent (Norwich)
Sargent continues to be touted with Leeds, even if fans are desperate for the club to avoid a reunion between Daniel Farke and the American. Leeds don’t need a striker, currently. Likelihood rating: 1/10.

Mihailo Ivanovic (Millwall)
Like Sargent, Ivanovic is one of the best no.9’s in the Championship, but he’s failed to repeat last season’s form. Leeds are keeping tabs, but unless Joel Piroe goes, he’s not needed. Likelihood rating: 2/10.
Lorenzo Pellegrini (Roma)
This is much more realistic for Leeds, in that Pellegrini is the kind of player Leeds want positionally, and he will see his Roma deal expire in 2026. Leeds have been linked with Pellegrini. Likelihood rating: 5/10.
Piotr Zielinski (Inter Milan)
Zielinski is struggling for game time at Inter, starting twice. He is a ‘prime candidate’ to leave in January, and a loan with an option may suit all parties involved. Would be a top signing. Likelihood rating: 8/10.

Chris Wood (Nottingham Forest)
Wood may have been an option had Ange Postecoglou remained. Obviously, Wood is well-liked by Leeds fans and vice versa. But a reunion with Sean Dyche ends any chance of a deal. Likelihood rating: 0/10.
Jens Petter Hauge (Bodo/Glimt)
With the Swedish season drawing to a close, Hauge will be more tempted to leave in January, than in the winter. Hauge has starred in the Champions League and Leeds have taken note. Likelihood rating: 7/10.
Issouf Sissokho (Maccabi Tel Aviv)
African reports claim Sissokho is a player Leeds have held talks to sign. But Sissokho is a level below the calibre of player Leeds will want to sign, even if Robbie Keane is also interested. Likelihood rating: 3/10.

Haji Wright (Coventry)
Brenden Aaronson’s USA teammate would be a top, top signing. The same kind of mould as Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Leeds are looking at a January deal. Coventry won’t want to sell. Likelihood rating: 5/10.
