Leeds United’s striker search continues to rumble on and Leeds United News has the latest on the situation regarding the club’s pursuit.
Leeds United have a shortlist with a number of names on it regarding strikers this summer, but they are yet to land any added competition to Lukas Nmecha so far.
They haven’t given up hope yet and there have been signs of positive progress regarding Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz, with Muniz being Leeds’ top striker target this summer transfer window.
However, the deal has been dragging out for a prolonged time now. That’s because of Fulham’s stance on the striker. Amid Fulham’s firm Muniz stance of not wanting to sell, we have the latest on the situation.

Rodrigo Muniz remains Leeds’ top target but Dominic Calvert-Lewin has also held talks
Other forward players are needed but there have been developments in attack for Leeds. That’s because of the frustrations growing regarding their Muniz pursuit.
Leeds United News understand that Leeds have held fresh talks with former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin recently.
Our transfer correspondent Graeme Bailey has the latest on the striker search, including what’s been said to him regarding Calvert-Lewin.
“Rodrigo Muniz remains Leeds’ number one choice centre-forward, whilst Mehdi Taremi and Josh Sargent are also options being discussed internally.
“However, Calvert-Lewin is also someone they remain hugely keen on. He is the right sort of profile.”
Calvert-Lewin’s eye-watering wage demands are an issue for Leeds unless the striker is willing to reduce them over guarantees of regular first-team minutes in West Yorkshire.

Everything said about Dominic Calvert-Lewin so far regarding Leeds
It was reported over a month ago now that Calvert-Lewin had a phone call with Leeds, while the other interest in Calvert-Lewin comes from Burnley.
It even appeared as though Leeds were turning down the chance to sign Calvert-Lewin following his release from Everton at one stage of the window.
But talks being back on the table make it seem as though Leeds have changed their mind on Calvert-Lewin while any progress on Muniz stalls.
The ex-Everton striker has a terrible injury record, which would be a concern while Nmecha is their other striker of his type, and with Piroe perhaps suited to a slightly deeper role this season.
