Leeds United transfer rumours latest, including updates on Igor Paixao’s situation, Gus Hamer interest, and Mehdi Taremi competition.
The transfer window has around six weeks left for the 49ers and Leeds United, who are continuing their momentum in the market as more concrete transfer news emerges to add to their six summer additions.
A busy summer still lies ahead at Leeds as Daniel Farke looks to improve several areas of the side, with the Leeds squad getting closer to completion ahead of the club’s return to the Premier League and now entering a crucial stage in pre-season.
Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sean Longstaff, and Anton Stach have all become Leeds players in recent weeks, meaning they are making progress but more are set to follow.
In the meantime, with vital weeks ahead for Farke and the recruitment team, here we have taken a look at some of the latest transfer news and the biggest headlines coming out of the club.

Leeds’ bid for Igor Paixao amid Marseille interest
Of course, deals for players of the calibre of Igor Paixao are never going to be simple and without competition, and Marseille seemed to be closing in on Paixao recently.
However, more recent reports suggest Marseille are £6 million below the Paixao asking price and that Leeds believe Marseille are struggling to sign Paixao and don’t think they are actually making any progress on a deal with the Brazilian.
Their confidence is seemingly growing, with it stated in recent days that Leeds had bid £30 million for Paixao. There have been some conflicting reports over the figure, though, but £26 million for Paixao is what Leeds’ bid was confirmed to be yesterday.

Leeds set to step up Gus Hamer efforts
Even stretching back to last summer, Gus Hamer has been a target for Farke and the 49ers. And going into this summer’s transfer window, Leeds’ links to Hamer have been reignited and fuelled after Sheffield United lost the Championship play-off final.
Earlier in the summer, it was claimed that Hamer preferred a move to PSV Eindhoven, who are showing a strong interest in the Dutchman. But subsequent reports actually clarified that Hamer would rather secure a Premier League move this summer.
Ruben Selles hasn’t ruled out Hamer leaving the Blades this summer. Now, it’s claimed that Leeds are stepping up efforts to sign Hamer as we approach the final weeks of the window.

Mehdi Taremi interest increases from Premier League clubs
Leeds are trying to sign Rodrigo Muniz from Fulham, but that move has not yet materialised, in spite of talk for numerous weeks regarding Leeds stepping up interest in Muniz.
Now, the Premier League side are understood to be chasing a deal for Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi. Reports this week have revealed how Leeds are interested in signing Taremi, with the 33-year-old potentially available.
However, West Ham United and Fulham also like Taremi. Leeds’ search for a centre-forward to spearhead their attack has not been at all simplistic. There are three weeks until they face Everton in their opener.
