The January transfer window is closed and it’s been a quiet one for Leeds United from start to finsh.

It was never going to be a busy transfer window for Leeds United as Daniel Farke had made it clear he was satisfied with his squad.

Leeds even missed out on Cameron Archer, who emerged as a target going into deadline day.

It’s just as well Farke is confident given Burnley and Sheffield United seriously improved their squads in January, with the Clarets pulling off a coup by signing Sporting’s Marcus Edwards on loan.

Although there was little movement from Leeds, they were linked with a whole lot of players in the last month and here is every single one.

Who will Leeds return to in summer transfer window?

Leeds were not desperate to dramatically add to their squad this month and nor should they have been.

Farke already has a massive squad full of talent and what’s the point in singing players just for the sake of it?

Instead, Leeds have kept their powder dry ahead of what could be a much more exciting summer, especially if a return to the Premier League is secured.

The added pull of being in the top flight will help them attract players in the summer, like centre-back Nico Elvedi from Borussia Monchengladbach.

There could also be a possible return for Emi Buendia, who didn’t fancy dropping down to the second division, or even Louie Barry if shows himself to be above the Championship.

Sheffield United playmaker Gustavo Hamer could be another option for the position, too, especially if the Blades don’t go up.

Reports suggesting Leeds had all but signed Matt Targett proved to be wide of the mark but he could be a solid top-flight addition.

Yet, if Leeds gain promotion, you’d hope a whole new spate of transfer targets get touted.
