The big question after promotion, is who are Leeds United going to sign in the summer transfer window. Daniel Farke is staying, and just two games are left to play before transfers become a priority.
With promotion secured, question marks over Farke’s position came to light at Leeds. It was claimed that The 49ers were considering other options to Farke, even though he had just guided Leeds to promotion.
But since then, Leeds sources confirm Farke will be in the dugout next season. How long he lasts remains to be seen, with Alan Brazil predicting only four or five games before the sack, if things start badly.
Two games left to play this season, starting on Monday night with only the title left to fight for. After that, attention turns to signings and Leeds remain interested in a Championship freebie, but are not on pole.
Leeds still want to sign West Brom attacker Grady Diangana
Before promotion had been confirmed at the start of the month, Leeds were linked with West Brom star Diangana. A player that has not lived up to potential after breaking through at West Ham United.
He cost West Brom a fee of £18m in 2020, but things have not gone to plan. Now, he is out of contract and Africa Foot say this weekend that Leeds remain interested in signing Diangana on a free transfer.
However, the report claims that Willy Gnonto’s old suitors Freiburg are leading the charge to sign him. Spanish outfit Celta Vigo are also said to be interested, but Leeds are still keen even after promotion.
Even on a free, Grady Diangana is one Leeds should avoid
Leeds currently have four options on the flanks, in Manor Solomon, Largie Ramazani, Gnonto and Player of the Season nomination Dan James. Solomon is set to sign permanently after Leeds secured promotion.
Three of those four have Premier League experience and have actually done well in the top tier. The other in Ramazani is full of potential, bought only a year ago for £10m and it would be a surprise to see him go.

The first issue with signing a new winger is that Leeds don’t really need one. The other problem with the player in question, Diangana, is that he hasn’t lived up to the hype. One goal in 37 Premier League games.
In the Championship, Diangana has clocked up 177 Championship games – but only had a hand in 47 goals. While he would be a solid addition for some clubs, Leeds simply have four better options than him.
