Leeds United have made Anton Stach their sixth signing of the summer transfer window after confirming the midfielder’s arrival from Hoffenheim.
It’s been a steady summer transfer window for Leeds United but it appears the floodgates have opened now, with Anton Stach becoming the latest new signing.
Stach’s arrival comes hot on the heels of Sean Longstaff, who joined for £15m from Newcastle United last Friday.
The midfield has been further enhanced with the capture of Stach, who is another all-action operator who is effective at both ends of the pitch, but is especially impressive in defensive duties.
Standing at a towering 6’4″, Stach continues to follow Daniel Farke’s trend of adding physically imposing and experienced players to his squad for the Premier League survival battle.
Stach also follows Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Gabriel Gudmundsson through the doors at Elland Road.

How much Leeds United have paid for Anton Stach
As ever, Leeds have not officially disclosed how much they have spent to capture Stach.
However, it is widely reported that Leeds will pay an initial £17.3m for Stach, a fee which could rise to £19.9m if certain performance-related bonus clauses are met.
The fee has seen Stach overtake Jean-Kevin Augustin to become Leeds’ seventh most expensive signing ever.
His arrival also takes the club’s total spend for the summer transfer window so far to the cusp of £60m, which still leaves plenty of room in the budget for signings like Igor Paixao or Rodrigo Muniz.

Anton Stach contract details at Leeds United
Stach has signed a four-year contract at Elland Road, which will see the 26-year-old spend the remaining peak years of his career at the club, until 2029.
The German leaves Hoffenheim having made 71 appearances over two years, scoring four goals and creating a further six.
In their official announcement of the signing, Leeds said: “Stach brings experience and further quality to the midfield areas after playing in the Bundesliga for the last five years.
“His time at the top-level in Germany was spent with Mainz 05 and TSG Hoffenheim and he previously won promotion from 2. Bundesliga with Greuther Furth.
“Standing at 6ft 4’ in height, our latest addition has made over 250 career appearances in all competitions and brings further versatility to the team, having operated in both midfield and defence when required.
“With two senior caps for his nation Germany to his name, Stach’s international experience previously saw him play alongside fellow summer arrival Lukas Nmecha in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship final in 2021, winning 1-0 against Portugal to lift the trophy!
“A commanding presence in both boxes and in the centre of the pitch, he brings a goal-threat having netted 26 times in his career so far.”
Stach has linked up with his teammates in his native Germany and could make his first appearance in a behind-closed-doors friendly this weekend.
Fans will have to wait until Leeds play Villarreal at Elland Road on August 2 for their first look at him.
