Daniel Farke will be hoping to strengthen his attacking options this window but the likelihood is that he may be stuck with what he’s already got.
Joe Gelhardt’s loan move to Hull City is on the cusp of completion as the 22-year-old striker is undergoing his medical today.
The young forward is in desperate need of minutes and a move to Hull could maybe get Farke to think twice about letting him go to a Championship rival.
With one outgoing almost confirmed, Leeds are in the market for a striker, which could lead to competition with Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph.
However, another striker may not get his transfer wish and could leave Leeds without a new attacking option this window.
The latest on Patrick Bamford’s future at Leeds
With Patrick Bamford thought to be on high wages at Leeds and currently injured, it seems as though there is no way back for the striker.
Bamford is suffering from a hamstring injury but that hasn’t stopped the interest in the striker building.
League One side Wrexham won’t sign Bamford as many fans seem to be under the influence that the 31-year-old would leave Elland Road for the Red Dragons.
Serie A side Genoa are another that are interested in Bamford as John Eustace’s Blackburn Rovers are also keen on Bamford.
However, Gelhardt’s move to Hull will have no doubt put a spanner in the works.

Gelhardt leaving will see Bamford stay at Leeds United
Bamford has been a veteran at Elland Road as the striker is now enduring his seventh season in Yorkshire since his £10m move from Middlesbrough.
Before his injury this season Bamford has had some excellent campaigns in the White of Leeds.

It seems as though his time is up for Leeds, but he may have to wait for a move until the summer.
Judging by Leeds’ activity so far the likelihood is that Farke’s belief of a quiet window is coming true, as there doesn’t seem to be any concrete pursuit of another striker at this time.
With Gelhardt leaving the club that leaves Farke with Piroe and Joseph, and no doubt he will want another option.
Farke has said Gnonto can play striker but that would then limit options in Leeds’ wide areas as well, which will leave Farke to ultimately retain Bamford.
The Leeds boss said Bamford will be out for four weeks which adds to more reason why interest will stop in the striker.
Upon his return, it could be his last few months at Elland Road and he has the chance to build on his legend status at Leeds.
