Leeds United star Patrick Bamford seems to face an uncertain future, with game time having been limited at Elland Road this season. Wrexham have been mentioned as a club who could snap him up in January.
Patrick Bamford is becoming a bit of a burden for Leeds United, with the striker thought to be on some astronomical wages at the club, and also injured right now.
It’s been revealed that the 31-year-old Bamford is nursing a hamstring injury that kept him out of the Hull City game last time out, with Daniel Farke having hinted that the striker now faces a stint on the sidelines.
So far this season, Bamford has played 10 times in the Championship but is yet to score and yet to claim an assist. Joel Piroe is the Whites’ top scorer in the league so far with 10 league goals after netting in the 3-3 draw against Hull.

Wrexham uninterested in Patrick Bamford
Reports in the build up to January revealed that Wrexham were interested in Bamford. It was also revealed that Italian outfit Genoa were keen on the Englishman, though it’s understood that Bamford’s wages make any kind of exit difficult.
He remains under contract until 2026 and so Leeds have no way of getting him off their books before then; without a sale or some kind of loan deal that is. Now, an emerging report from ESPN says that Wrexham are uninterested in Bamford.
They write that Wrexham’s reported interest in Bamford is ‘ wide of the mark as things stand’, but that the League One hopefuls are in the market for striker signings in January.

Patrick Bamford tipped to stay at Leeds United
Many fans seem keen on Bamford leaving. He’s often injured and a drain on he wage bill, not to mention the fact that he’s not exactly been in form so far this season.
But former Leeds man and now pundit Leigh Bromby thinks Bamford could stay at Leeds beyond this January transfer window. Speaking in December, he explained: “Will he want to leave? I imagine he’d want minutes – it’s a difficult one. Daniel will have spoke to him. I was the manager, you’d want someone like him.”
With Wrexham’s reported interest in Bamford now played down, and Bamford obviously injured, it all of a sudden looks like Bamford won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
But if Farke can get a tune out of him then it would give Leeds another outlet in their quest for promotion to the Premier League.
