Leeds United have given the green light and sanctioned the exit of a player Daniel Farke has described as “unbelievable” this month, and he could now make his debut next Saturday.
Leeds continue to be linked with a number of new signings even if Daniel Farke reiterates that he expects Leeds will have a quiet January window. But the Leeds manager is unlikely to say he expects new arrivals.
And then, Leeds are unable to deliver on his promises to Leeds fans. On Saturday evening, Leeds made it nine games unbeaten with another victory albeit a surprisingly narrow 1-0 FA Cup win over Harrogate.
Largie Ramazani scored the only goal against Simon Weaver’s League Two side though The Whites hit the woodwork twice and should have scored more. But there was a notable admission on the Leeds squad.

Leeds sanction Joe Gelhardt’s loan move to Hull City
Speaking on Thursday, Farke described Gelhardt’s attitude as “unbelievable”. While he suggested a move was likely for the forward and had allowed conversations, he said Gelhardt was yet to knock on his door.
Now, that appears to have changed. Gelhardt was not on the bench against Harrogate and Hull Live now say Leeds have accepted a move for Gelhardt to Hull City, and a deal could be done in the next 48 hours.
The report says Gelhardt was left impressed by Hull’s comeback against Leeds in the game prior to the FA Cup win on Saturday, and that Gelhardt could make his debut for Hull against Millwall next Saturday.

Leeds have got to make January move to sign new striker
Saturday’s performance was proof that Leeds need a new striker not just in terms of depth, but because Mateo Joseph seems to be playing with the weight of the world on his shoulders in the final third.
Joseph started on Saturday, with Joel Piroe suffering muscle fatigue. Patrick Bamford meanwhile, is still recovering from a hamstring injury. Daniel Farke says Bamford will be out until the end of the month.
It meant Joseph was the only fit striker and while Piroe will return ahead of next weekend when Leeds take on Sheffield Wednesday, Farke cannot be left to reply on Spain U21 striker Joseph at the moment.
He snatched at chances and even when hitting the post, the frustration was obvious. He is in that kind of rut where he needs a goal to go in off his backside but in a promotion race, Leeds can’t hope for luck.
