Leeds United are heading to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers, but Anton Stach is continuing his trend of Instagram posts pre-match.
Leeds United made some impressive signings in the summer, even if there was disappointment at the top end of the pitch. Anton Stach is among them and Stach shined for much of August despite some disappointing results.
Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann is keeping an eye on Stach but he only has two caps for his national team so far. The Premier League presents an opportunity and platform for the 26-year-old to showcase his best during a World Cup year.
Stach was Leeds’ most expensive signing at £19.9 million if all add-ons are met, having been brought in from German side Hoffenheim. Standing at 6’4″, he is a powerhouse midfielder but Stach is also Leeds’ set-piece taker currently.

Leeds midfielder Anton Stach’s latest Instagram post
Despite a difficult game against Fulham last time out, and perhaps with some signs of inconsistency creeping in, Stach has been named Leeds’ best signing of the summer. Players like Stach have, crucially, made Leeds significantly taller as well.
A combative midfielder, Stach is only behind Bruno Fernandes in Premier League chances created. That is a fact Graham Smyth can’t believe about Stach but his corner duties go a long way to explaining it.
The Leeds midfielder has bettered Emi Buendia in a number of impressive categories as one of the best starters to a new campaign under ex-Norwich City manager Daniel Farke.
One further than that, Stach is in impressive company for Leeds when looking at stats like chances created and other underlying numbers this season compared with other Premier League campaigns in recent years.
He is also someone with real character and personality, as shown by the fact Stach’s Instagram stories for Leeds have been consistent so far, with Stach’s Everton one particularly hilarious during their 1-0 win at Elland Road.
As shown above, he has teased Wolves ahead of the game today as well. On this occasion, Stach has decided to be in an edit as Marvel X-Men’s Wolverine.

Ilia Gruev’s recent Anton Stach verdict
Ilia Gruev praised the impact of Leeds’ Stach and other new signings who have bolstered the midfield ranks and raised the standard of the Whites’ midfield.
According to Gruev, having five high-quality options in midfield is helping to drive up the standards within the Leeds squad and can only prove beneficial in the long run for the Whites.
Gruev said: “The challenge, I have to say, this year, especially in midfield, is that we have so many good players. So, at the moment we have five central midfielders, with Ethan, with Anton, with Sean, with me, and the competition is really high.
“Which is really good because you can see in training also how high the level is, and I can feel as a player this develops me, this makes me better because every day; you have great teammates with a lot of quality, and you have to always be aware.
“It’s normal because it’s the Premier League, it’s the best league in the world. Nobody expected us to use just two midfielders, and you play every game 90 minutes. This is absolutely normal.
“I try to give my best to train good, to play good, to perform good, and the other things I can’t influence what the coach decides.”
