Leeds United midfielder Anton Stach has made an impressive start to life in the Premier League after moving to Elland Road in the summer transfer window.

Unlike Jaka Bijol, who is still waiting for his league debut for the Whites, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who was criticised for his miss against Fulham, Leeds’ new midfielder has hit the ground running with the Whites.

Ilia Gruev admitted that he has been blown away by the standard that Stach has helped to set in Leeds’ midfield, with the return of Ao Tanaka only serving to ramp up competition for a place in Farke’s midfield.

Stach has taken his impressive pre-season into the Premier League campaign, with the stats from Leeds’ opening games showing that he is one of their most consistent attacking threats.

Now, the full extent of Stach’s impressive start in a white shirt has been revealed, as he has matched several Premier League icons in his first four games.

Anton Stach achieves impressive Premier League feat

According to Opta’s Jonny Cooper, in a post on the social media site X (formerly Twitter), Stach has moved into rare company by having more than 10 shots and creating more than 10 chances in his first four Premier League appearances.

Only five other players have achieved this feat in the last 13 years in the Premier League, highlighting the impressive nature of Stach’s start.

Also included in the list are former Arsenal stars Santi Cazorla and Alexis Sanchez, former Chelsea men Eden Hazard and Pedro and former Everton midfielder James Rodriguez, who played an important role in Calvert-Lewin’s most prolific goal-scoring season.

Although Stach’s start is undoubtedly highly impressive, Farke will be keen to see him turn these shots and chances into tangible results, as he has failed to find the net or register an assist yet in the Premier League.

Leeds need Stach to bounce back against Wolves

Although Stach has been impressive in a Leeds shirt this season, he had a quiet game as Leeds slipped to a heartbreaking defeat against Fulham.

The FotMob stats from the game show that Stach was off the pace in West London, as his output dropped. Stach created just one chance in the game, compared with three in each of the games against Newcastle United and Arsenal, and four against Arsenal.

Stach had more touches of the ball against Fulham than he did in the drubbing against Arsenal and the draw with Newcastle, with 54. However, these totals were significantly down on the games against Everton, when he touched the ball 86 times.

He was also dispossessed twice against Fulham, the first time he has been dispossessed in a game this season, in a sign of his comparatively poor display. Farke will be hoping that his influential midfielder is back to his best in the crucial game against Wolves.
