Leeds United are in the mix for a Premier League winger on loan this summer but it is being claimed that of the 24 Championship clubs, a huge 18 have made their interest known.
The Whites are set to be in the market for new wingers this summer after already losing Jaidon Anthony and and Ian Poveda this summer, while Leeds could sell duo Willy Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville.
Everton are said to be ‘progressing well’ in talks to sign Gnonto in a deal that would see The Toffees pay £20m initially, and then £5m more in add-ons. Carlton Palmer thinks the sale of Gnonto suits all parties.
Meanwhile, West Ham have made an approach for Summerville and Roma are in talks to land the Dutch star after winning The Championship’s Player of the Season award with Man United also said to be keen.

18 of 24 Championship clubs after winger on Leeds shortlist
Leeds could need a new winger, then. Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi emerged as a target on loan over the weekend, though Southampton are trying to sign him permanently and made an initial £7m offer.
That was rejected and it saw Saints increase their offer for Rak-Sakyi to £12m. But Palace are said to prefer to send him on loan and keep him, handing Leeds the chance to get Rak-Sakyi on loan this summer.
However, a report from the South London Press claim 18 of the 24 Championship clubs want Rak-Sakyi on loan with Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United and Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth named as possible suitors.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi’s stance amid enormous interest in his services
Described as “magical” by Roy Hodgson, the huge interest in Rak-Sakyi comes after having a hand in 22 goals while on loan at Charlton during 2022-23 but only playing eight senior games for Palace last term.
But despite Palace’s wishes to send him on loan to England’s second tier and keep him permanently, the stance of Rak-Sakyi is that he wants a move to Southampton as Russell Martin continues to splash cash.
Already, The Saints have spent well beyond £50m including two permanent deals for Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Flynn Downes. Whether Palace sanction a permanent exit for the winger remains to be seen.
