As is the way when a Premier League club makes a big influx of new signings, sales are required to keep the club financially afloat and in line with Profit & Sustainability Rules. Leeds are no different.
Not only for PSR guidelines, but to make some room, too. Daniel Farke prefers to work with a close-knit squad that are all pulling in the same direction, rather than a big squad with some frustrated members.
James Justin was announced as the club’s tenth signing of the summer, arriving for a £10m fee. The one-time England star’s move to Elland Road from Leicester means Leeds have now spent more than £100m.
Players need to be sold and below, LeedsUnited.News analyses the six senior players expected to leave the club before the end of the window. Deadline day comes to an end at 7pm on Monday evening.

The six players expected to leave Leeds before Monday
Isaac Schmidt
Schmidt has been waiting for Leeds to sign Justin, so he can leave Leeds. A move to Werder Bremen has long been touted for the Switzerland international, who will want game time in what is a World Cup year.
Werder’s signing of Yukinari Sugawara may have put Schmidt’s move to Germany in limbo, but reports on Tuesday morning state Werder are pushing ahead with a permanent £3m move for defender Schmidt.
Largie Ramazani
Ramazani is expected to join Valencia this week, on loan. A move that sees Carlos Corberan raid his old side for Ramazani. It is believed Ramazani could be signed in time to play against Getafe on Friday.
There had been talk of a permanent clause being included, but Valencia have decided not to include one in talks with Leeds, to prevent a move from failing. Ramazani then, is set to move to Corberan’s Valencia.
Patrick Bamford
With Ramazani and Schmidt leaving, we get into the players that are struggling to find a move. Chief among which, is one-time England striker and Leeds icon Patrick Bamford, who has no future at Leeds.
Farke informed striker Bamford as much on the second day of pre-season and he is said to have taken it well. Middlesbrough have ruled out a reunion for Bamford, while Wrexham have chosen not to sign him.

Sam Greenwood
Like Bamford, Greenwood is in the final year of his deal. A £3m signing from Arsenal, the versatile player has shown his quality in the Championship over the last two years on loan at Middlesbrough and Preston.
Leicester have been loosely linked with Greenwood, but nothing has materialised. Now, in the final six days of the window, Greenwood needs to find himself a move or face becoming a forgotten player.
Darko Gyabi
Gyabi is in the same boat as Greenwood. The England U21 international was indifferent during 18 months on loan at Plymouth and also finds himself in the final year of his deal, after a £5m move from Man City.

There have been a few loose rumours with the likes of Cardiff City, but Gyabi is also yet to find himself a new club. He will be hoping a Championship club comes calling before the end of the summer window.
Illan Meslier
Like Gyabi, Greenwood and Bamford, Illan Meslier is in the final year of his deal. The Frenchman was not taken to Dublin to face Milan, and has not been included in either of Leeds’ two Premier League squads.

Lucas Perri has even taken his no.1 shirt. Meslier’s old club Lorient have held talks, while PSG and Lille have considered Meslier. Como had been offered Meslier, but the Italian side are signing Noel Tornqvist.
