Leeds United will be chopping and changing this summer, but one player will no doubt be closer to the exit door than the door to staying.
Daniel Farke can only do what he can as the Leeds hierarchy decide over his future.
It’s become apparent that the 49ers want to keep Farke at Leeds, but who knows what more dramatic twists await.
In the transfer window, there are plenty of obstacles, but it seems as though outgoings are being talked about more than players coming in.
Isaac Schmidt has threatened to exit Leeds, but now another player could be following him out of Elland Road.

Junior Firpo’s Leeds United future in doubt
The last thing Farke will want is to lose both his left-back options, as along with Schmidt, Junior Firpo has an uncertain future in Yorkshire.
Firpo’s decisions have been made a bit clearer this season though, as Firpo’s agents see a Leeds stay as ‘unlikely’.
His stance has been obvious throughout the campaign, but not promotion is secured, will the 28-year-old have a change of mind.
Speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Firpo has adjusted his thoughts on a Leeds stay slightly, but still has doubt cast over his next few months with the club.
“No, no, it’s the same. Last time that we spoke, I probably told you that I was focused on promotion. Promotion is done now,” Firpo said.
“But I don’t know. I don’t know. I think it’s something to speak with the club about maybe when the season is done, you know, and they have more clear plans as well.
“Let’s see what happens.”
If Firpo stays he has starting spot guaranteed at Leeds
The Dominican Republic international will be pondering over the next few weeks about what is best for him.
Firpo is now in his fourth season with the club, and it is dfinetly his best season yet, from both a defensive point of view, and in the final third.
| Firpo’s statistics for Leeds in the Championship this season | |
| Games played | 31 |
| Goals | 4 |
| Assists | 9 |
| Duels won | 179 |
| Aerial duels won % | 60.6% |
With him potentially leaving Real Betis have been tipped to resign Firpo as the left-back might fancy a return to Spain.
However, if he does stay he would no doubt be a part of a rare group of players to have a starting spot in Farke’s lineup next season.
A plethora of signings are needed, and it seems, Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon, Dan James, and Ao Tanaka could be the only stars safe to start in the top flight next season, but if Firpo stays, he gets added to that list.
