Leeds United fans will be praying Junior Firpo decides to do a U-Turn on his future at Elland Road.

Despite an incredibly successful season for the full-back with Leeds, all signs are pointing towards an exit from Yorkshire.

Firpo has become a hugely important player for Daniel Farke this season and has shown that through 12 goal involvements in 25 games from left-back.

Even though he struggled in the Premier League, the Dominican Republic international has had some turnaround, and Firpo has even become a ‘leader’ at Leeds.

With Firpo’s Leeds future unlikely already a big hint has been suggested as to whether he’ll stay in the summer.

Junior Firpo’s agents drop hint over Leeds United future

As the 28-year-old has been looking for a potential move, Firpo chose to change agents.

This could however be pointed in two ways, one he is looking for that move away from Leeds or two there could be a chance a new contract is in the works.

It’s a decision that seems out of Farke’s hands and now TEAMtalk have revealed the latest on Firpo staying in Yorkshire.

The outlet says that Firpo is now expected to leave Leeds as a free agent this summer in a huge blow for the Whites.

Sources have stressed it is now ‘increasingly unlikely’ that the player will still be at Elland Road next season, as it seems all decided.

With Firpo changing agency and being represented by You First, the left-back’s new representatives have already started working on his future, looking for the best possible option for the next season.

Where Firpo could end up if he leaves Leeds United after incredible season

It’s such a shame Firpo’s Leeds career has played out like this, and it’s unknown the reasoning as to why he favours a move away.

A return to Spain is the most likely reason, and the 49ers might not be able to give him his desired wages.

Real Betis are a club looking to resign the defender as Betis have shown interest in Firpo since the summer.

This is looking like the most likely destination, but two other Spanish clubs have made proposals for the 28-year-old along with Betis according to the report stated above.

With Firpo’s history with Barcelona, could the Spanish giants also be eager for a return, as Firpo could reunite with Raphinha.

This is of course a prediction, but the one thing that is looking confirmed is Firpo’s exit from Elland Road this season.
