Eddie Gray says Leeds United have a player who would ‘walk in’ to Tottenham’s side, it’s not Manor Solomon

Leeds United fans are probably getting bored of hearing about Tottenham.

Spurs have been associated with Leeds quite a bit recently and seemingly have been for a while.

Since Archie Gray’s has proved to be a revelation, Spurs want Harry Gray as well, showing they can’t get enough of Leeds’ prospects.

However, their pull might not mean as much now, with the Whites only technically four spots behind them in England’s divisions.

With this considered, Eddie Gray actually backs a Leeds player to slot straight into the struggling Spurs side.

Eddie Gray says Leeds United’s Joe Rodon ‘walks in’ to Tottenham’s side

The meetings between both clubs won’t be stopping anytime soon, as away from Spurs’ interest in Gray, Manor Solomon will have to return to North London.

Solomon wants to join Leeds, so it’s unlikely he will stick around for long as Daniel Farke will want to get the deal done quickly.

Another player who has only recently left Spurs is Joe Rodon, who joined Leeds for £11m in the summer, which is looking like a bargain.

Eddie certainly agrees with that and has even suggested Rodon is clearly ready for the Premier League, and claims to the Don’t Go To Bed Just Yet podcast, he would walk into Ange Postecoglou’s side.

“As you know he was at Tottenham, and they let him go,” Gray said.

“I think they’ve made a huge mistake letting him go.

“I think he’d walk into the Tottenham team right now.”

Leeds’ Rodon can make Tottenham feel regret next season

The Welshman will already be raising questions over at Spurs as to why they sold him.

For just £11m it’s proving to be a brilliant deal for the 49ers, but Rodon can make Daniel Levy look like a fool next campaign.

Being a more experienced figure in the dressing room, Leeds fans love Rodon’s passion, and his performances back up their admiration for him.

Now the 27-year-old has the chance to replicate these performances in the top flight, and can certainly do so, having already made 15 appearances in the Premier League with Spurs.

Tottenham’s own development of the defender may come back to bite them, and Gray’s claim that he would ‘walk in’ to Postecoglou’s team won’t be far from the truth.
