Leeds United transfer rumours latest, including updates on Nicolas Kuhn, Robin Zentner, and Lille’s Gabriel Gudmundsson.

The transfer window is well underway now and Leeds United are continuing their momentum in the market as more concrete transfer news is emerging with every passing day of the window.

A busy summer is expected at Leeds as Daniel Farke looks to improve several areas of the side, with the Leeds squad far from ready ahead of the club’s return to the Premier League.

Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, and Sebastiaan Bornauw all became Leeds players in recent weeks, meaning they have three new additions thus far but far more is to come.

In the meantime, with vital months ahead for Farke, the 49ers, and Leeds’ recruitment team, here we have taken a look at some of the latest transfer news and the biggest headlines coming out of the club.

Former Leeds target Nicolas Kuhn closes in on Como move

Leeds United took an interest in Nicolas Kuhn, formerly of Bayern Munich and Ajax, after he scored 13 goals and assisted a further nine in 32 Scottish Premiership games last season. But the 25-year-old winger is headed for Italy.

Cesc Fabregas’ Como have ‘agreed an initial £16.5million fee’ for Kuhn. Como and Celtic are now ‘ironing out the finer details’ but the German has ‘verbally agreed terms on a long-term contract’ with the club.

Interestingly, Fabregas was linked with the Leeds job after the end of last season when Farke’s future was up in the air, though the Spaniard was only very briefly linked with the job and remained with the Italian side.

Robin Zentner emerges as Leeds goalkeeper option

Leeds have already completed two deals from the Bundesliga in Bornauw and Nmecha, and more are reportedly being eyed, including Anton Stach. However, a new name has entered the frame.

Interestingly, Robin Zentner was suggested as an option instead of Nick Pope in a recent piece outlining some alternative options both domestically and elsewhere in other major European leagues by ourselves.

1. FSV Mainz 05 goalkeeper Zentner is now a genuine target for Leeds, per Beren Cross of The Athletic. He has explained Leeds’ interest in a number of goalkeeping options of late, including the 30-year-old German.

Gabriel Gudmundsson transfer fee the only remaining concern for Leeds

It’s been reported for some time now that Leeds want Lille left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson. In fact, Gudmundsson is one of the best suggestions for Leeds, considering that he is in the final year of his deal.

Gudmundsson has explained what he wants from Leeds if he is to move and it has been reported previously that Gudmundsson could cost Leeds as little as £8 million, with a deal between Leeds and Gudmundsson accelerating.

Our Leeds United News exclusive on Gudmundsson has detailed that personal terms are now agreed but the clubs must agree a fee. That is the only gap in negotiations currently needing to be overcome now.
