Sunderland are set to sign two of Leeds United’s summer targets in midfield, with both Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki making the switch.
Leeds United and Sunderland are returning to the Premier League next season, with it absolutely paramount that they have strong starts to the summer transfer window.
Sunderland are perhaps impressing the most by completing the signing of Habib Diarra. Previous reports revealed how Leeds had multiple bids rejected for Diarra before the Black Cats swooped in to sign the midfielder from RC Strasbourg.
Then, Sunderland agreed a deal to sign Noah Sadiki. He was a player who Leeds had interest in after missing out on Diarra to Regis Le Bris and co. Their attentions are now turning elsewhere.

Leeds fans want Anton Stach more than Noah Sadiki or Habib Diarra
Anton Stach is much larger in build, size, and profile than Sadiki. Stach was someone we suggested before Graham Smyth confirmed the Leeds interest in the Hoffenheim midfielder.
Following the Sadiki reveal, Leeds fans have taken to X/Twitter to get more excited by the links to the towering Stach over the diminutive Union Saint-Gilloise midfielder.
One fan replied: “Stack clears Sadiki and the fact that Sadiki is 5’7 and Stach is 6’4 means I think Stach settles in the PL quicker (plus no AfCON), but in think Diarra clears them both. Leeds have to nail a couple of clear starting roles soon because the Bijol shine wont carry much longer.”
Another stated: “Stach is our man anyway. These lot are still finishing 20th.”
Another account praised their work but prefers the idea of Stach, adding: “I like Sadiki. I really like Diarra but I love Stach. All g from me, well in Sunlun, giving it a very good go.”
Leeds fans are ‘moved’ by the links to Stach. However, they have to get the deal over the line now. It would be the perfect lift for the supporters.
Either way, it could be an interesting contest next season when the two sides come up against one another, especially as Sunderland’s new faces could well be at AFCON in December.

Anton Stach’s valuation revealed as Leeds eye a cheaper midfield addition than Diarra or Sadiki
Speaking to Leeds United News recently, transfer expert Graeme Bailey revealed how Leeds are feeling after the Sunderland transfer saga of late.
But getting Stach, a two-time Germany international, on a deal for around the same or less than either of Diarra or Sadiki would go a long way to silencing the Leeds fans.
He won’t be cheap but certainly cheaper than the other two. Back in March, Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg said that clubs would have to pay between £13 million and £17 million to land the midfielder.
Stach’s contract runs until June 2027. He said: “Hoffenheim want to keep Anton Stach but are aware of interest from several clubs.
“The asking price is between €15-20m. Stach is under contract until 2027. Frankfurt interested.”
