Less than 24 hours since news emerged that Daniel Farke could be sacked at Leeds United, we have a name who could potentially replace him.

Daniel Farke is surely reeling at the recent reports. It’s claimed that Leeds United could sack Farke ahead of their return to the Premier League after Farke guided the club to promotion on Easter Monday.

The 49ers have reservations about Farke’s record in the Premier League which stands at just six wins from 49 games. Needless to say, Leeds United fans have had plenty to say about Farke amid these emerging reports.

Most seem keen on giving Farke a chance to prevail in the Premier League whilst others think the decision to sack him, whilst brutal, would be beneficial in the long run.

Then on Thursday, reports emerged claiming that a certain former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder was among those in contention to potentially replace Farke at Elland Road this summer.

Leeds United interested in Cesc Fabregas but he’s set to stay at Como

Cesc Fabregas, 37, is steadily making a name for himself in management. A former World Cup winner with Spain, Fabregas has been in charge of Como since last summer and currently boasts a record of 10 wins in 33, with his side currently sitting steadily in 12 place of the Serie A table.

An emerging report from TBR Football has revealed that Fabregas is among the early names being considered by Leeds United to replace Farke. But journalist Fabrizio Romano has already revealed that the Spaniard doesn’t look set to go anywhere this summer.

Romano also reveals on X that Fabregas, who’s being eyed up by top Serie A clubs, has already held talks with Red Bull Leipzig: intriguing given Red Bull’s part ownership of Leeds United and the fact that they’ll play a role in the next appointment.

Red Bull will play a role in Leeds United’s next manager appointment

Speaking to Leeds United News, transfer expert Graeme Bailey has now revealed how Red Bull will have a say in Leeds United’s next appointment.

Bailey explained: “They’ll be gauging Red Bull’s opinion on things. They’re not going to bring someone in from RedBull unless it’s someone who is someone who they rate… They’ll use RedBull as part of the process. They’ve discussed it with RedBull already, at some length, I’m told.”

With Fabregas already in the sights of Red Bull, it makes a lot of sense that he’s also in the sights of Leeds United. But for now he looks to be going nowhere; and for now, Farke remains the man in charge at Elland Road.
