Aston Villa beat Leeds, Spurs, and Wolves to Evann Guessand
It was claimed midway through the 2024/25 campaign that the likes of Tottenham and Leeds both tracked Evann Guessand during an excellent season with OGC Nice.
However, competition has been fierce, as Wolverhampton Wanderers also rated Guessand highly. It even looked as though Wolves would win the Guessand race at one stage of the current transfer window.
In the end, Aston Villa have agreed a deal for Guessand. The player is heading for a medical. Leeds are short on attacking quality and flair at the top level, but their Premier League rivals are signing the 24-year-old.
Atalanta’s interest in Leeds target Rodrigo Muniz continues to increase
Rodrigo Muniz is Leeds’ top striker target this summer transfer window, which has been apparent for quite some time now despite no progress between Leeds and Fulham.
The move isn’t happening yet, even with positive progress on a deal for Muniz being made in recent weeks, with Muniz to Leeds supposedly accelerating via some reports.
Serie A outfit Atalanta BC are also eyeing Muniz. They face stern competition now, with some even stating that Atalanta are now pushing harder to sign Muniz, with representatives meeting with Fulham.

Beren Cross recently explained four areas Leeds need additions, while Daniel Farke reiterated the need for new Leeds forwards following other reports that Leeds will now target attackers in the final weeks of the window.
Since then, the reporter from The Athletic has given some names he expects Leeds to maintain interest in during the coming weeks and up to the transfer deadline.
Bilal El Khannouss and Christantus Uche are two of the attacking midfielders Leeds might consider, while Rodrigo Muniz and Dilane Bakwa have also been name dropped.
