The 49ers will need creative outlets at Leeds United to have any chance of staying in the Premier League next season.
Current number ten, Brenden Aaronson, hasn’t quite ticked the boxes in the Leeds camp, and there surely has to be serious concern over the position.
After a dismal campaign, it’s been claimed that Aaronson is finished at Leeds, and that could certainly be the case.
Despite the concern, an attacking midfielder hasn’t been named as one of the four priority positions for Leeds this summer.
However, one target who is now on Wolves’ radar may open the perfect opportunity for the Whites to pounce.

Wolves want Evan Guessand but Leeds United can land hammer blow
With Aaronson’s performances lacking, there can’t be any way Daniel Farke keeps him in his starting eleven.
The American had an uncertain future before the start of last season, and the same could happen again this window.
A replacement is needed in such a crucial position, and even though Gustavo Hamer is firmly on Leeds’ radar, the Whites might have to act quicker to sign someone Wolves are about to offer for.
According to Sky Sports, Wolves are considering making an offer for the Nice forward Evann Guessand, in a deal which could be worth more than £25m.
This is relevant to Farke’s side due to their previous interest, as TEAMtalk reported that Leeds were ‘keeping tabs’ on Guessand.
With Wolves now acting quickly to sign the Ivorian, the 49ers might have all they need to pursue a move for the 23-year-old who has been on fire this season.
Leeds might have to consider Wolves as a relegation rival next season, and to sign their Matheus Cunha replacement would be a great way of going about things.

Guessand could finally replace Georginio Rutter at Leeds
The Whites were brilliant creativity-wise last season, but this was solely down to their threat from the wings.
But Farke can’t rely on the output from the flanks next season, and will need a new number ten to get things ticking.
Georginio Rutter could’ve been someone who did this had he not moved to Brighton, but Rutter saying Leeds is great for development could be all Guessand needs to hear.
The Nice attacking midfielder has been a revelation since coming through the academy, and he’s exactly what Leeds need.
| Guessand in 24/25 season for Nice | |
| Games played | 33 |
| Goal involvements | 20 (12G+8A) |
| Dribble success | 50.5% |
| Successful dribbles per 90 | 1.71 |
| Chances created | 32 |
To fill the gap of Rutter is something the 49ers failed with last summer, but they can’t make the same mistake this time around.
With this in mind, there is no reason to look further than Guessand, as Farke could throw a spanner in the works for Wolves.
