The latest Leeds United transfer news and rumours, including an update on Rodrigo Muniz.
It’s been a strange week in an otherwise promising summer transfer window for Leeds United, who have been forced to watch fellow promoted side Sunderland sign several of their targets.
Habib Diarra was the biggest blow, but Leeds were keen on Noah Sadiki, who has joined the Black Cats, and Reinildo Mandava, who is set to sign.
Sebastiaan Bornauw was only recruited for £5m last week but it already feels like aeons ago after Daniel Farke has missed out on several players he wanted.
There’s still a lot of work to do at Elland Road, with a striker, goalkeeper, left-back and one or two midfielders all needed before deadline day.
Here’s the latest transfer rumours.

Fulham reject Rodrigo Muniz bid from Tottenham

Leeds want a proven top-level goalscorer to spearhead their survival tilt and have settled on Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz as their preference.
Leeds had a £32million bid for Muniz rejected in June, with Fulham demanding £50m for the Brazilian as they’d rather keep him.
Leeds are reportedly preparing another bid, but they now face stiff competition from Tottenham for Muniz.
Brazilian publication Bolavip reports Spurs have made their own £32m bid for Muniz, who is open to the move.
Michael Keane signs new Everton contract

Another player linked with Leeds this summer who won’t be joining them is Michael Keane.
Leeds were said to be interested in Everton defender Keane at the start of the summer as his contract with the Toffees was set to expire.
However, Keane has put pen to paper on a new one-year deal to remain with David Moyes’ side.
Given Bornauw and Jaka Bijol have already been signed, Leeds don’t need another centre-back anyway.
Rory Mahady signs new Leeds United contract
A lot of academy prospects left Leeds this summer upon the expiration of their contracts, but the club were determined to keep some of them.
There’s been good news on that front as it was announced on Saturday morning that young goalkeeper Rory Mahady has renewed his contract.
The Scottish youth international has signed a new three-year deal with the Whites, following on from Harry Gray signing his scholarship deal.
