What Leeds United are planning next after £26m bid rejected for Rodrigo Muniz

Leeds United seem to be going all out for the signing of Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz.

With Leeds’ priority this summer to land a striker, Muniz has been sounded out as the main man for the Whites.

It has been reported that with the Whites’ interest, Muniz is valued at £50m, with the 49ers having to cut some corners.

If Fulham don’t budge, it’s clear that the Brazilian signing this summer will be off the table, and after Leeds’ ‘£32m’ bid was rejected, it appears to be that way.

Well, it seems that the Leeds hierarchy have got their work cut out for them, but the owners have a plan up their sleeve.

Leeds United’s plan after Rodrigo Muniz’s £26m bid is rejected

Muniz has shown serious quality in the Premier League after appearing out of nowhere.

Previously, the 24-year-old had struggled to get into Marco Silva’s plans, even having a loan to Middlesbrough, but after two solid seasons, he’s now a wanted target.

Tottenham are another who likes Muniz, as Daniel Farke will want to win this battle after Manor Solomon chose Spurs over a Leeds return.

The Brazilian will be difficult to get, but according to TNT Sports Brasil, the 49ers don’t care one bit.

It’s stated that Leeds are preparing a new bid for Muniz after the first offer was already rejected.

Despite claims that the offer was £32m, the outlet report that only £26M was tabled, meaning the job will be even harder for Leeds, but it’s not stopping the 49ers.

But another problem has emerged as Newcastle is another Premier League club ‘keeping an eye’ on the Brazilian’s situation.

49ers are going against transfer plan with Muniz

Although Muniz’s arrival would be a major coup, the owners appear to be getting carried away with the money at hand.

Leeds do need to spend well to stay in the Premier League, but sustainability has to come into play.

This is what was hoped when the 49ers planned to spend only £30m on priorities, and now, with a second bid for the Fulham striker, they could go against their promise.

It’s an intriguing signing, but if Fulham choose to reject Leeds’ next bid, which is bound to be over £30m, then Leeds might have to take a couple of steps back.
