A striker is what most clubs want in the transfer market every window, and that is no different for Leeds United this summer.
It’s paramount that Leeds United are strong in both boxes in the Premier League, but they also need to have a player who is capable of pinning, pressing, and scoring the goals.
Daniel Farke’s side have already been linked with plenty of big-money moves for strikers since the club were promoted from the Championship.
For example, Leeds have been priced out of a move for Troy Parrott, but they are also waiting to see what happens with Callum Wilson’s contract at Newcastle, and veteran striker Jamie Vardy is also linked to Leeds after leaving Leicester.
There has also been talk that Leeds are interested in signing Nikola Krstovic and that the club might enter the race the alongside Everton for long-term Leeds target Evan Ferguson.

Leeds not expected to pursue Rodrigo Muniz despite interest
The truth is, numerous players have been linked to Leeds already and there are more to come. One player who has since been ruled out as quickly as he has been linked is Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz.
Beren Cross of The Athletic has revealed that Leeds have made enquiries about the Brazilian, but club sources feel as though other centre-forward options are more likely to be acquired at this stage.
There have been other reports recently that Muniz is valued at around £50 million and is of interest to Tottenham Hotspur — per Give Me Sport.
Given that he has just one year remaining on his contract, and that he has been second-choice behind Raul Jimenez, it’s no great surprise that Leeds are eyeing other alternatives.
He started just eight league games for the Cottagers in 2024/25, with Marco Silva opting for more experience in attack.
| Appearances | Starts | Minutes | Goals | Assists |
| 36 | 13 | 1,355 | 11 | 2 |
His goal-to-minute ratio is remarkable, however, and it’s clear to see why there is mounting interest in the 24-year-old striker.

Emerdin Demirovic is a better and more affordable fit for Leeds
Beyond just scoring, the striker must also fit in profile terms; Leeds need a striker that can hold the ball up and link play in equal measure.
If they possess a degree of strength and the ability to pin with their frame, then that is already an ideal starting point. That is mainly on the basis that it can help Leeds to alleviate pressure on their defence.
On top of that, Leeds need a player who is athletic and mobile enough to run the channels and pull the opposition’s back line around. That all-round centre-forward profile is an absolute must.
If Leeds can sign someone who can do all of that, as well as score and make goals for themselves, then they have already given themselves a far greater chance of survival.
Our pick for Leeds is Ermedin Demirovic of VfB Stuttgart, given that he can do all of the above and scores goals on a consistent basis over the last few years. The 27-year-old would be nowhere close to £50 million, either.
