When the Championship season ended and Manor Solomon had scored the goal to secure the trophy for Leeds United, many felt he would be the first signing through the door at Elland Road.
Solomon’s late goal at Plymouth won Leeds the title, his 23rd goal involvement for Leeds during 2024-25. The player himself had dropped hints over a permanent move to Leeds and Spurs seemed willing to sell.
They had just won the Europa League trophy and any sale was a profit for Spurs, given they signed the winger for nothing from Shakhtar Donetsk. Daniel Levy was said to want an affordable £15m-£20m fee.
However, things have changed. Spurs have since hired Thomas Frank after sacking Ange Postecoglou and Frank wants to take a look at Solomon before selling. Now, Solomon has informed Spurs of his stance.

Solomon tells Tottenham he wants a second chance at Spurs
It was hardly as if he got a chance in the beginning. Joining Spurs in the summer of 2023, Solomon laid on two assists in six games before tearing his meniscus. He is back to full fitness after his season at Leeds.
But despite all the hopes and hints of a move to Elland Road, Leeds Live now say Solomon has told Spurs he would like a second chance. Frank is intent on taking a look at Solomon in pre-season before selling.
Leeds Live also say Tottenham – who are renowned for being difficult to deal with in the transfer market – rate Solomon as a top-end Championship player after his 24-25 season, and could cost £30m-£40m.

Leeds will be desperate to sign Solomon, but not at that price
Harry Gray urged Leeds to sign Solomon permanently during the promotion celebrations, while investors TJ McConnell and Larry Nance Jr want Solomon signed. Dan James thinks winger Solomon is brilliant.
Clearly, those at Leeds would love to have Solomon next season in the club’s push to avoid relegation from the Premier League. But at such a tall price, the chances of landing Solomon are as good as over.
The Whites have been handed a £150m transfer budget by The 49ers, but focus is being placed on four positions. A goalkeeper, a centre-back, a midfielder and a striker – with Jaka Bijol expected to be signed.
That already takes a near-£20m chunk out of the budget and Leeds will also need to consider signing a left-back and a no.10. So if Spurs want a potential club-record fee for Solomon, it is simply impossible.
It will be interesting to see what Tottenham decide to do with Solomon and if it is to sell him, what kind of price they can expect. Spurs have just signed Mathys Tel permanently, who can play on the left wing.
