Dan James aside, Manor Solomon might just be the most in-form player in the Championship at the moment with the on-loan Leeds United star getting back to his brilliant best.

Solomon joined Leeds last summer on loan but it came off the back of a year on the sidelines. The Spurs winger had torn his meniscus just six games into his Tottenham spell, and it’s taken him a while to shine.

Understandably, so. The first half of the season saw Solomon rotated and often a sub, suffering a setback in October. After a year out of action it was always going to take time for Solomon to get back to his best.

But now, Solomon is on fire. Striking up a brilliant relationship with Dan James on the other wing, he has had a hand in 12 goals in 24 Leeds outings. In his last five games, he’s scored two and created three.

Manor Solomon drops hint over permanent Leeds United move

When Solomon joined Leeds, it was largely seen as a coup. A transfer that was just to get Solomon back to his best and would allow him to return to Tottenham in the summer fresh, and ready to go again.

But fast forward until now, and Solomon has struck a chord with fans. Leeds supporters love the former Fulham star. Signed on a free by Spurs, it is unclear how much Tottenham would want for their winger.

However, Solomon has hinted he would be open to a permanent move to Leeds if The Whites do go and get promoted. Speaking to his fiancee Dana’s new podcast at Elland Road, Solomon hinted at a move.

“In my mind, I want to get back to the Premier League where I belong. That is my goal. I understood that the best way to get back to myself and get back to the Premier League is to go to Leeds,” Solomon said.

“A club like Leeds, I think, must get into the Premier League. And that’s a very, very big goal for the team and for me. It’s something that I really, really want. I really, really want to get to the Premier League.

“It’s a big goal. So I’m trying to help as much as I can so that we can get to the Premier League. Because I really want it. Yes, you really, really want it,” Solomon said, on In Dana’s Living Room podcast.

What Graeme Bailey has told us about permanent Solomon move

If Leeds are to sign Solomon from Tottenham on a permanent basis then they will certainly need to get promoted. He is currently earning a wage of £54,000 a week and that is not affordable in the second tier.

If Leeds are promoted, it is a different story. A wage that Leeds would find easy to pay for a player that has proven himself time and time again in the Premier League and even in the Champions League.

Graeme Bailey has told LeedsUnited.News that a permanent move for Solomon is down to the player himself. Promotion is a necessity but if Solomon shines, then there is a deal to be done – and he is.
