Jaka Bijol is looking more and more likely to sign for Leeds United this summer.
The centre-back from Udinese has been firmly on the radar of Leeds in the last few weeks.
Sources have told LeedsUnited.News that Bijol is close to agreeing a £15m transfer as talks progress with both clubs.
The 26-year-old is highly sought after, but Leeds have the advantage over clubs like AC Milan due to the defender’s desire to play in England.
Well, alongside Bijol, a defender from the Premier League itself could now find himself at Elland Road.

Leeds United now trying to sign Michael Keane from Everton
Bijol looks to be an astute piece of business as Leeds look to build on Lukas Nmecha’s arrival.
Daniel Farke is clearly keen to get deals through the door as quickly as possible, and Bijol and the new striker make for a very positive start.
Now aiming to add to what is looking to be a busy summer in Yorkshire, Everton’s Michael Keane has now appeared as a possible signing.
Liverpool Echo reports the latest on the centre-back’s future as Leeds, Sunderland, and Burnley are interested in the 32-year-old.
It’s said that the offer of first-team football is expected to appeal in the face of being the fourth choice in David Moyes’ plans.
It was recently tipped that Leeds could sign Keane, with the defender emerging on the free agent list this summer.
Leeds’ Keane pursuit could heighten after Bijol news
The Everton defender comes with vast experience after nine seasons in the top flight and could be the perfect option for Farke to rely upon.
It wasn’t a glittering last campaign for Keane, but he showed his reliability when called upon, even proving a major threat from set-pieces.
| Michael Keane’s 24/25 PL statistics | |
| Games played | 14 |
| Goals | 3 |
| Tackles won % | 75% |
| Long ball accuracy % | 59.5% |
| Aerial duels won per 90 | 2.24 |
This could be even better news for Leeds after Newcastle United entered the race for Bijol, meaning Eddie Howe could ruin the 49ers’ plans.
Ultimately, Keane could become the main centre-back priority after this, and wouldn’t be a dreadful option for where Leeds will be next season.
Obviously, Bijol is the main candidate, but Keane isn’t a bad substitute; however, in reality, the Whites will want both next season.
