Leeds United have signed two players so far this summer ahead of their return to the Premier League, which includes Jaka Bijol and Luka Nmecha.
Plenty more is expected to come through the Elland Road entrance, with Leeds United likely to be one of the busiest sides in English football’s top flight this summer.
The talk currently surrounds Sebastiaan Bornauw, who appeared as a target yesterday and is now close to completing his switch to West Yorkshire on a four-year deal today.
Like other signings, Bornauw’s physical profile makes sense for Leeds. It’s something that Leeds fans are delighted about with Bornauw, even though he appears to be more of a depth and cover signing in defence.

Sebastiaan Bornauw puts the finishing touches on his move to Leeds
Chris Wilder once tried to sign Bornauw for Sheffield United, while Daniel Farke also attempted to sign Bornauw for Norwich City back in 2021. Should he pass his medical with Leeds, then this will be the first time they have worked together.
Bornauw had a medical with Leeds on Monday after they agreed a fee of just over £5 million with Bundesliga outfit VfL Wolfsburg for the Belgian international.
Bornauw models his game on three defenders. Not only that, but Bornauw has been likened to Daniel van Buyten — funnily enough, the Bayern Munich and Belgium legend is the 26-year-old’s agent.
It’s now up to van Buyten and Bornauw to iron out the finer details with Leeds over a contract, which Sky Sports journalist Zinny Boswell has revealed.
He claims that the medical done and Leeds are merely putting the “finishing touches” on their third summer signing following arrivals of Nmecha (also from Wolfsburg) and Bijol (from Udinese).
Anton Stach could be soon to follow for Leeds after Bornauw is wrapped up, though. As we suggested Stach should be a Leeds target over the weekend.

Sebastiaan Bornauw shirt number with Leeds
Bornauw was teammates with Josuha Guilavogui and Nmecha at Wolfsburg. There, he was also more of a squad player but one with an aerial threat.
With Junior Firpo’s departure confirmed by the club, Bornauw can take the number-three shirt for Leeds.
He has also worn 33 and 45 in his club career, and various numbers for his national team. Those include 20, 15. 16, and two. However, three is his most favoured number from his youth days as well.
Bornauw would become signing three of the summer, so perhaps fittingly of all would be for him to maintain wearing that shirt number with Leeds.
