Leeds United continue to be linked with a host of new signings ahead of January despite Daniel Farke suggesting he doesn’t feel his squad is in need of strengthening.
Farke has been asked on more than one occasion about what next month’s window could look like at Elland Road and each time, issued a similar response.
Chris Wilder is among several Championship managers to have labelled Leeds’ squad as the best in the division, but that does not mean it doesn’t need additions to get them over the promotion line.
Leeds have had issues in both boxes so far this season, with the bulk of them defensively as a result of some poor mistakes by Illan Meslier.
At the other end, Leeds fans are desperate for a new number 10 and striker, with Brenden Aaronson still not quite cutting it, and neither Mateo Joseph or Joel Piroe pulling up any trees.

Italian media make Ben Godfrey claim amid new Leeds links
One position Leeds don’t currently need to strengthen is centre-back, though that could change if Max Wober departs.
Wober has been linked with Red Bull Salzburg after his lack of game time under Farke, though that has increased over the last few weeks.
Transfer expert Graeme Bailey says Leeds are among the sides keen on Ben Godfrey and Tutto Atalanta have now shared an update on his future ahead of January.
They claim Atalanta are already ‘carefully evaluating’ his situation at the club having not made a single Serie A appearance since the opening day of the season following a £10m move from Everton.
It is also said their cup tie with Cesena (just finishing at the time of publication) could represent his final chance to ‘leave a mark’ ahead of a possible loan move, though even then, he was once again left out of the starting XI.
The big disadvantage Leeds have is that Nottingham Forest and Wolves are also interested, both of whom can offer a route back to Premier League football.
Graeme Bailey says Leeds must wait until summer for Godfrey
As mentioned, Bailey exclusively revealed Leeds’ interest to LeedsUnited.News earlier this week, but did offer up the stumbling block of having to wait until the summer.
Leeds were keen on Godfrey last January before ultimately being unable to prise him down to the Championship.
Bailey said: “Godfrey is someone Leeds have liked for a long time. It is totally dependent on Leeds getting back to the Premier League. The player has interest in January, but from what I’m told he’s not massively looking to move.
“Everyone thinks, oh well he’s not getting game time at Atalanta. But they don’t actually realise that Atalanta are top of the league, the only reason he’s not in is because they’re playing so well.
“It’s not as if they don’t like him, they are literally just top of Serie A. British media misreading that personally, Leeds like him but are only in the conversation if they go up.”
