Leeds United’s latest away day frustration at Preston North End on Saturday has only strengthened supporters’ demands for a number 10 in January.
Leeds have made breaking teams down look easy at Elland Road but away from home, it has been a completely different story.
Daniel Farke’s side have managed just one win from their last six away matches and that sort of form on the road is why Leeds haven’t been able to open up a gap to the chasing pack yet.
Brenden Aaronson was once again ineffective at Deepdale and missed a golden opportunity in the first half to level the score, blazing horribly over the bar.
Farke wanted Leeds to sign a number 10 in the summer but a deal never materialised. It would be blind ignorance by the club if they were to do so again, with promotion so important this season.

Leeds fans want Emi Buendia on loan in January
Leeds tried for a few ambitious names during the summer and one of those included Aston Villa’s Emi Buendia. However, both club and player said no.
Buendia has managed just 37 minutes of Premier League football since then, though, which has got fans talking up the possibility of making another move.
Considering how incredible Buendia’s most recent season of Championship football was under Farke, Leeds fans believe his arrival next month would all but guarantee promotion.
@OwenWalton9 said: “Get him we go up guaranteed.”
@Carlinhojr001 wrote: “Would be a statement signing getting Buendia. Fit, he’s a cheat code at this level.”
@RdvLaur also said: “Buendia on loan + literally any goalkeeper combined with getting rid of Bamford & Meslier would be an amazing achievement.”
Our verdict on Leeds chances of signing Buendia
It is hard to disagree with what other Leeds fans are saying regarding Buendia based on his track record at this level.
Even despite his lack of football this season, he is the type of player who could come in and hit the ground running. At first, he would need managing a tad, but come the business end of the season, he would make the difference.
The only issue is Buendia turned down a move to Leeds in the summer and even after playing so little, it is likely he would fancy himself for a Premier League move.
Hopefully Leeds can tempt him and Villa with the offer of a loan and future buy clause.
