Number 10 remains Leeds United’s biggest priority heading into the January transfer window.
Daniel Farke wanted Leeds to sign one during the summer but after numerous failed pursuits of some big-name players, nothing ever materialised.
Emi Buendia, James McAtee and Gustavo Hamer were just some of the names mentioned by Angus Kinnear that Leeds tried to prise to Elland Road.
Farke was recently asked about Leeds‘ prospect of signing another attacking midfielder next month, though he refused to comment either way as to whether it would happen.
However, with Brenden Aaronson having hit an inconsistent patch of form in recent weeks, it is clear he needs some help going into the second half of the season.

Leeds should move for Brighton star Julio Enciso
The loan market could be Leeds’ best friend in January and with three of their five slots still open, they have plenty of room for manouvre.
And one player they should definitely be looking at a potential move for is Brighton & Hove Albion’s Julio Enciso, who has found game time hard to come by this season.
Enciso has played just 129 minutes of Premier League football so far this term and reports suggest he could ask for a loan move when the window opens.
According to La Nacion, Enciso will ask Brighton to leave in January for a ‘better opportunity’, though a stumbling block for Leeds could be that he wants to stay in the Premier League.
However, the chance to join a promotion chasing club where he could be the main man should certainly entice Enciso, as there is no doubt he would come in and play regularly.
Still only 20, Enciso has four goals and four assists across 40 Premier League appearances under his belt already, and has a catalogue of some absolute screamers behind him.
His long-range shooting could be extremely useful in matches where Leeds are struggling to break down a deep defensive block.
Why Rutter could help Leeds make Enciso move
Enciso has dropped down the pecking order at Brighton due to their £200 million plus spending spree in the summer.
£40 million of that was dropped on former Leeds star Georginio Rutter, who has effectively come in and taken his position in that number 10 role.
But Rutter is not the only player ahead of him, with Joao Pedro, Matt O’Riley and Brajan Gruda all competing for a place in his position.
If Leeds were to register their interest, then perhaps Rutter could give his former club a little helping hand by giving the Whites a good reference.
