Leeds United secured the title in dramatic fashion at Home Park with a late win over Plymouth Argyle.
Both Leeds and Burnley reached 100 points but Leeds got over the line with a 91st minute winner via Manor Solomon’s composed finish into the far corner to snatch it from Burnley’s grasp.
Daniel Farke’s side have been the best in the Championship all season but had to do it the hard way when Sam Byram’s own goal opened the scoring early on for the home side, looking as though they would spoil the party.
There were players in the away end, and they were able to celebrate early in the second half when Willy Gnonto smashed in an equaliser from close range. The game looked like it was going to fizzle out before Gnonto’s pass played in Solomon to slot home.

Daniel Farke’s subdued celebrations at full-time could be telling
The winner sparked jubilant scenes at full-time among the players and fans alike. However, one figure looked on and wasn’t as involved as the rest of the team and staff.
Farke was hunched over looking out into the distance and taking a moment for himself. It wasn’t the look of a man who knows he is secure in his role or guaranteed to be a part of their Premier League journey.
Reports recently have linked him with a departure from Elland Road two years into his four-year deal in West Yorkshire. There have been mixed views on that, but Farke’s reaction was perhaps telling.
The likes of Michael Brown and Gabby Agbonlahor have suggested recently that Leeds may have to consider sacking him. Paraag Marathe has a big decision to make regarding his future, which Simon Grayson is confident will see him remain for the Premier League.
However, it isn’t so clear now. Graham Smyth highlighted how he embraced Joe Rodon with a long hug at full-time. He held back while others went wild running over to the away end.
It could have just been the German having a moment to himself and doesn’t need to be over thought too much, but many will view it as a man looking like he already knows he’s gone.
His reaction was more devastated than pleased to have won a league title with Leeds. Could this be the end for Farke?

Daniel Farke’s Premier League record would explain his departure from Leeds
Farke led Leeds back to the Premier League on Easter Monday, but his capability of keeping Leeds in the Premier League has been questioned in some corners, and justifiably so.
| League | Matches | Wins | Draws | Losses | Points | PPG |
| Premier League | 49 | 6 | 8 | 35 | 26 | 0.53 |
| Championship | 230 | 127 | 60 | 43 | 441 | 1.91 |
Phil Hay says Leeds have a good chance of staying up because of The 49ers and RedBull but it could and perhaps will be without Farke now after the scenes down in Devon.
The good news is that Leeds will earn a massive windfall upon promotion regardless of who is in charge but it will still take a lot of money to compete in English football’s elite tier. Thankfully, early reports suggest Leeds are planning to spend at least £100 million.
