There have been murmurs that Leeds United may decide to relieve Daniel Farke of his duties this summer even though The Whites have now been confirmed as promoted to the Premier League.

Even though Leeds sit on 94 points and remain on course to win 100 with two games still to play, there are still question marks regarding Farke. The German has two years remaining on his Leeds contract.

Carlton Cole has discussed the possibility of sacking Farke, while Scott Minto said Farke is more likely to get the sack compared to Chris Wilder and Scott Parker on TalkSPORT, ahead of Monday’s 6-0 win.

Having secured promotion, Farke showed no signs as if he was about to be given his marching orders. Following Leeds winning a place in the Premier League, Paraag Marathe delivered a statement on Leeds.

Paraag Marathe heaps praise on “relentless” Daniel Farke

Any murmurs, rumours or chance of Leeds choosing to replace Farke before the start of the 2025-26 Premier League campaign were quashed by chairman and 49ers chief Marathe, in his promotion words.

As published on Leeds’ website after The Whites had secured a place in the top tier, Marathe shared his verdict on Farke and the work the German gaffer had put in over the last two years as Leeds manager.

“To Daniel and the squad – thank you for your relentless pursuit of this achievement. You have been exemplary throughout the campaign and have rightly earned your place in Leeds United history. You represent everything it means to play for this club, and we are all incredibly proud.”

Why this time is different for Daniel Farke after Norwich spell

Some fans have pointed towards Farke’s dismal time with Norwich in the Premier League. His first year saw Norwich win just 21 points during the 2019-20 campaign, losing 27 of 38 Premier League matches.

Having guided Norwich back to the Premier League at the first attempt in 2020-21, Farke lasted just 11 more matches at Norwich before being sacked in November 2021. He left with five points obtained.

But Norwich had no money, and Farke had no backing. Phil Hay says Leeds have a good chance of staying up because of The 49ers and RedBull and Farke will be given money to build a squad capable of survival.
