Leeds United made a clear statement with a professional 1-0 win against Oxford United as Daniel Farke seems to have changed fans’ minds.
Farke has managed to turn around the Leeds faithful’s thoughts on him.
Despite it looking ropey when fans said Farke’s position was under threat, the response has been immaculate from the Leeds manager.

He’s proven the doubters wrong, and now Leeds could be just four points away from achieving their goal of returning to the Premier League.
However, a question has now been raised over Farke’s future despite his brilliance in ending the season on a high.

Whether Leeds United should sack Daniel Farke in Premier League
It’s become clear that the 49ers are willing to give the Whites boss a chance as Paraag Marathe sees Farke long-term at Leeds.
However, this hasn’t stopped murmurs of the German’s future at the club despite such good form, as doubt has been cast over Farke.
The consensus seems to be that the Premier League is a whole different ball game to the Championship, as that is where Farke can really prove his worth.
The win against Oxford has probably got Leeds over the line, but former West Ham striker Carlton Cole still believes Farke has a job to do to win over the owners’ trust in him.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Cole questioned whether the Leeds boss can repeat his Championship fortunes in the top flight.
“There’s a period where you’ve seen the same mistake (Farke in PL),” Cole said.
“Do you make that mistake for loyalty or crack on with someone else.
“It will be very harsh if they were to get someone else in after all his hard work.
“With Norwich it might show, is he equipped for the Premier League?
“He does deserve to have another go in the Premier League, and he might have learned something.”
Farke’s Premier League record sends warning to Leeds
It’s certainly very harsh to say he deserves the boot after such a successful season.
Considering how tight it is at the top, on any other given season, promotion would’ve been secured early on, but this promotion race sums up the strength of the second tier nowadays.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 1 | 43 | 26 | 13 | 4 | 83 | 29 | 54 | 91 | |
| 2 | 43 | 25 | 16 | 2 | 59 | 14 | 45 | 91 | |
| 3 | 43 | 27 | 7 | 9 | 59 | 33 | 26 | 86 |
Previously, Paul Warne has been baffled by Farke sack claims, and it makes sense when looking at the table above.
However, judging by Farke’s record in the Premier League with Norwich City, it might not paint the perfect picture for him at Elland Road.
| Farke’s Premier League record | Won | Drawn | Lost | Points |
| 2019/20 | 5 | 6 | 27 | 21 |
| 2021/22 | 5 | 7 | 26 | 22 |
Of course, his Norwich tenure was a more difficult challenge with fewer funds than Leeds but it’s still telling Farke has to change his fortunes in the Premier League.
Going off the current state of affairs with newly promoted clubs, it seems like whoever is in charge would struggle with Leeds in the top flight, so to sack Farke would be extremely harsh.
