Leeds United will not be messing around in the Premier League.

Unlike the current bottom three in the top flight, Leeds want to remain a consistent Premier League team.

After a gruelling season, the hard work has only just started as Daniel Farke and the 49ers need a big summer.

Chris Sutton is unsure if Leeds stay up next season, as Farke will be desperate to avoid the trend of newly promoted teams suffering relegation.

Well now a possible boost has been handed, as Kalvin Phillips has given a clear indication to be a part of Paraag Marathe’s transfer plan.

From it looking like the Whites would drop into the play-offs, now Leeds can look ahead to an exciting campaign.

The 49ers will want to correct mistakes made by the previous owners in the last top-flight season, and Marathe seems to have everything outlined.

Leeds can still win the title, which is something on Farke’s mind, as Ethan Ampadu has warned Scott Parker’s Burnley.

But Marathe is already looking ahead, and will have to decide on Phillips as The Mirror have revealed all about the proposed transfer window masterplan.

According to the outlet, Leeds will spend at least ‘£100 million’ on new players, and Phillips could rejoin from Man City.

It’s said that the midfielder is ‘desperate’ to return home to Elland Road, and now Marathe and co must decide if he can emulate the form which brought him his £42.5m move to City.

Whether Phillips will join Leeds permanently

The Yorkshire Pirlo returning would bring a smile to any Leeds fan’s face, as the 29-year-old is eager for a homecoming.

However, there are obstacles in the way of this happening, and it’s not only because the hierarchy might decide against the signing due to his suspect form.

Phillips will have an excessive wage for the Whites, who, whilst spending nicely, will be sensible along the way, as Leeds might have to loan Phillips.

Although this isn’t ideal, it’s the best way Marathe can add the midfielder to his masterplan of spending, and Marathe can finally achieve his pledge at Leeds of being ‘aggressive’ in the transfer market.
