Leeds United were joined by Burnley and Sunderland in gaining promotion to the Premier League back in May.
Daniel Farke’s second season with Leeds United saw them reach 100 points to get out of the Championship. Also, Leeds won the title over Burnley in dramatic style on the final day of the campaign.
Parker was salty about Burnley losing out to Leeds but his side also achieved a 100-point finish, in spite of scoring 26 goals fewer than the Whites to gain Premier League promotion.
Who survives is likely to be debated many times between now and August, but Leeds have more Premier League experience than Burnley and Sunderland in their squad already.

Burnley re-sign Ashley Barnes to the delight of Leeds United supporters
To add further insult to injury, Burnley captain Josh Brownhill has been linked to Leeds as well. He is one of the most experienced players in their squad and can leave on a free transfer.
In spite of key players like CJ Egan-Riley and potentially Brownhill departing, Troy Deeney believes Burnley will be better than Leeds in the Premier League, while Micah Richards is more concerned for Sunderland than Leeds or Burnley.
However, Burnley’s business so far has been less than impressive to most Leeds fans. They have also announced that club legend Ashley Barnes has signed a one-year extension to remain at Turf Moor to the delight of Leeds’ support on social media.
Another response on Twitter/X said: “Straight back down ole ole ole.”
A further Leeds fan in the replies added: “Does he do card tricks or something?”
Another quote of the announcement read: “Good lord, he will play in the premier league again #lufc”

Leeds were a much better team than Burnley last season and will be again in 2025/26
Leeds were statistically miles better than Burnley last season. Instead of being that strong at the back (or at least as strong as Leeds), they have relied upon the heroics of James Trafford in the Burnley goal to keep teams at bay.
According to FotMob, Leeds outperformed their xG for the season, but only slightly (3.4). This highlights their goalscoring is not an outlier and they really have been that great going forward.
In addition, Leeds were also incredibly solid defensively throughout the entire season. Burnley have obviously taken the limelight on that front as they have only conceded a ridiculous 16 goals.
Yet, Leeds only let 30 strikes slip past them in 46 games. That’s also incredibly impressive and it’s only that high because of several costly Illan Meslier mistakes.
They overperformed xGA by a measly 0.7, whereas Burnley overperformed xG by 10.6 and overperformed xGA by 22.4. There was actually more than just a small gulf between the sides, but an entire chasm.
Jaka Bijol and Barnes couldn’t be much further apart in terms if intent and ambition, either.
