Leeds United star Georginio Rutter has shared an other update on his injury via his Instagram story.
Rutter decided to pull out of France’s U21s squad ahead of the current international break in order to undergo minor surgery on a hernia, which he is said to have been playing with for a number of weeks.
The 21-year-old has not been at his brilliant best lately but it is now clear to see why, and full credit has to go to him for still contributing with plenty of assists during Leeds’ brilliant run of form.
With no game this weekend due to internationals, Leeds opted to do the surgery now and he is expected to be out for the next 10 days, which could put him in contention for the next match at Watford.
Rutter sent a message to supporters on his Instagram ahead of undergoing surgery to say that his body had told him to stop, which undoubtedly made this the best decision for him to comeback stronger.

With surgery now having been done, Rutter has shared a fresh update to Leeds supporters on his Instagram story from a hospital bed.
Given the 10-day prognosis, Leeds will of course wanted Rutter to go under the knife as swiftly as possible, in order to give him the best chance of being fit for the trip to Vicarage Road.
Rutter said: “Bounjour everybody, everything was good, thank you for your messages.”
Surgery can help Rutter get back to his best for run-in
Under his own admission, Rutter was not at his best against Millwall on Sunday, yet he still came away with the man-of-the-match award, as well as another couple of assists.
Rutter is now leading the way across the entire division for assists this season, but his overall play has certainly gone down a tad recently, and it has quite often left Daniel Farke frustrated on the sidelines.
However, this surgery should help him both physically and mentally, as he can play freely again without the lingering thought of injury in the back of his mind.
His ball carrying is undoubtedly his best asset and if that can comeback for the run-in, it will be a huge boost for Leeds.
