Leeds United seem to be heightening their pursuit of Igor Paixao after weeks of waiting.
Paixao is the name every Leeds fan wants signed at the moment, and the 49ers are not messing about.
Previously, it had been stated Leeds bid £30m for Paixao, but this seemed wide of the mark in terms of the figure.
Instead, Feyenoord received a £26m offer for Paixao as the Dutch side now have the ball in their court.
Well, it has been circulating that Feyenoord weren’t quite satisfied with this bid, but Leeds are not wasting any time.

Leeds United ‘ready to raise stakes’ for Igor Paixao
The 25-year-old could be a gem in Daniel Farke’s system, and after Liverpool were impressed with Paixao, it’s looking clear that he has what it takes to play in the Premier League.
Paixao was arguably the best player in the Eredivisie last campaign, which shows the sort of ambition the 49ers are aiming for.
His qualities don’t need more explanation, but what needs explaining is where Feyenoord stand after this first offer.
Well, Italian journalist Matteo Morreto has covered Roma’s interest in Paixao on Youtube and has heard what Leeds are planning to do next, with Feyenoord having a clear demand.
“Leeds are pushing very hard for Paixao,” Morreto said.
“After offering £26m, they’re ready to raise the stakes because Feyenoord are asking for more.
“Leeds seems to have a clear advantage for Paixao. We will have to see if Leeds and Feyenoord find an agreement.”

Where Leeds’ cut-off point for Paixao should be
With the Dutch side already proving to be tricky negotiators, Leeds won’t want to push the boat out too far for Paixao.
Although Paixao has resemblances to Raphinha, this doesn’t mean a ridiculous fee has to be submitted, and Leeds already seem in a fair territory with £26m.
But previously, Feyenoord wanted £34m, and this should be the point where Leeds stop, as after Lucas Perri’s transfer, the budget spent will rise over £80m.
Adding on Paixao’s fee, this will go over £100m, and with Leeds still wanting a striker, there has to be a cut-off point despite Paixao’s brilliance, and £34m seems reasonable.
