Jayden Bogle and his representative’s stance on a Sheffield United exit has been revealed amid interest from Leeds United.
Leeds have reportedly seen two offers rejected by the Blades for Bogle which both fell some way short of their valuation.
Bogle is expected to command a fee of around £7 million this summer as he now has less than 12 months remaining on his current deal at Bramall Lane.
That puts Sheffield United in a difficult position as they have already lost a number of players during the window, as well as the fact he was a regular last season.
Both clubs are also expected to be in the mix for promotion again next term, and so selling him to a direct rival would be a risky move.
How Bogle and his agent feel about Leeds switch
Right-back is very much an area of priority at the moment for Leeds having lost Archie Gray, Jamie Shackleton and Connor Roberts already.
The latter has returned to parent club Burnley after his loan spell at Elland Road and does remain a target at Leeds.
In fact, Leeds have even been given some encouragement should they wish to firm up their interest, with the 28-year-old strongly interested in a return to the club if a deal can be done.
And now the Sheffield Star has also revealed Bogle’s stance on a potential move before the end of the window, suggesting that he is actually happy at Bramall Lane.
On the contrary, however, they also speculate that a move to Leeds could be of his interest to his representatives due to the financial incentives to them.
With that said, Leeds must’ve had some encouragement from Bogle behind-the-scenes, otherwise they would not have wasted their time making two offers.
Leeds defender Rasmus Kristensen wanted by Frankfurt
Given the strong interest in Bogle, that could well be a major indicator of where Rasmus Kristensen’s future lies.
Kristensen is due back for pre-season at Thorp Arch anytime now with his future still very much uncertain after his return from a loan spell at AS Roma.
However, Fabrizio Romano had a new update to bring on Kristensen earlier today, revealing that Eintracht Frankfurt are indeed interested in his services.
Hopefully Leeds can facilitate a deal for him to leave permanently, while bringing in Bogle as his replacement. It would be a win, win for everybody.
