Joe Rodon is not the only former loanee Leeds United are interested in re-signing this summer.
Rodon has returned to Tottenham following an impressive year on loan at Elland Road but Leeds have not given up hope on bringing him back, despite Premier League interest.
In all honesty, Rodon was arguably the only one of Leeds‘ four loan signings over the course of last season who can be deemed as a success.
He quickly established himself as a stalwart at the heart of the division’s second best defence, but it would be fair to say Connor Roberts, Djed Spence and Jaidon Anthony did not have such impact.
Roberts and Anthony managed to start just two league games apiece, while Spence was sent back to Spurs early. However, Leeds are keen on bringing one of those players back to the club.

New update shared on potential Connor Roberts return to Leeds
No option-to-buy was agreed in any of the three deals that brought any of Anthony, Rodon or Roberts to the club, and it has already been confirmed by the former he will not be returning to Leeds.
Much of the headlines this summer has surrounded Leeds’ interest in re-signing Rodon after such a stellar campaign in West Yorkshire, but as per the Athletic, he is not the only loanee they want back.
Despite Roberts seemingly suggesting on Instagram that his time at the club is done, Leeds are actually keen on re-signing the £2.5 million man from Burnley.
However, Leeds may have to be patient in their pursuit of the Welshman, as Burnley are still without a manager and have an awful lot of work to do on a giant squad.
Due to a combination of injuries and Archie Gray’s form, Roberts struggled to break into the starting XI after joining in January but quickly made a big impact in the dressing room.
A long run in the side could enable him to return to the form that saw him named in the Championship TOTS during Burnley’s title winning campaign of 2022/23.

What has Roberts said about his Leeds future?
In his first interview after joining, Roberts did hint that he would like to move to Leeds permanently, though his lack of game time may well have changed that.
As mentioned, it had seemed pretty certain that Roberts would not be coming back this summer.
Not only did Burnley confirm in their retained list that he is set for a return to Turf Moor, but his post on Instagram also very much read like a goodbye.
He said: “Football ey.. Obviously so disappointed not to achieve what we all wanted, but honestly what a massive privilege it was to play just a hand full of games and be involved at this incredible Football Club.
“An invaluable experience and something I’ll remember forever! Thanks for the spectacular support ladies and gents!”
