Leeds United fans are still reeling from the club’s failure to sign Harry Wilson or any other attacker on deadline day, but there is still a way for Leeds to put things right in the coming days.
Leeds believed they had everything in place to sign 28-year-old Wilson, but Fulham pulled the plug on a late deal despite Leeds and Wilson agreeing to submit a deal sheet, and Fulham signing two attackers.
Daniel Farke made it clear he wanted one or two new attackers after the 0-0 draw against Newcastle. But nothing has materialised, and if Farke is so adamant on the need for attackers, there is only one solution.
Leeds need to consider the free agent market. Farke has dipped into that pool of players outside of the window, in Josuha Guilavogui. Below are five attacking midfielders without a club, Leeds may consider.

Five free agents Leeds could consider after Harry Wilson disaster
Christian Eriksen
Having left a certain club in the summer, 33-year-old Eriksen is still without a club. A player with massive Premier League experience, a genius from set-pieces, a Serie A winner and a Champions League finalist.
If Leeds dip into the free agent market, they could do a whole lot worse than handing a one-year deal to a player with 136 goals and assists in 310 Premier League games. Eriksen may be tempted, on a big wage.
Josh Brownhill
Graham Smyth name-dropped Brownhill in a YEP piece in the last 24 hours. The midfielder remains with no club after leaving Burnley on a free in the summer, having scored 18 Championship goals last season.
A player that once again, has huge Premier League experience – north of 100 appearances in the top tier. It is unclear where Brownhill will next play his football but Brownhill is said to be keen on joining Leeds.
Hakim Ziyech
Joining Qatari side Al Duhail from Galatasaray in January, 32-year-old Ziyech is a free agent after just 13 appearances in the Middle East. There are reports Ziyech could complete a move to Spanish side Elche.
But Ziyech is a Champions League winner, a player with 21 goals and assists in 45 Champions League games. He may feel he has unfinished business in the Premier League, and again, a set-piece specialist.

Marko Pjaca
Perhaps more of a realistic signing than Ziyech or Eriksen, 30-year-old Pjaca starred for Dinamo Zagreb last season. He laid on 18 goals and assists in 44 games, four of which came in the Champions League.
Able to play on both flanks and as a 10, 28-time Croatia star Pjaca would suit what Farke wants, a versatile attacker. He needs a home, having become a bit of a journeyman since joining Juventus as a 21-year-old.
Dele Alli
Then, there is Dele Alli. After a brief stint in Serie A with Cesc Fabregas’ Como, the England international is without a club again after he was released by the Italian outfit in the last few days. He needs a new home.

Of course, this is a different Dele to the player that starred for Tottenham. He needs a club where he can finally shine again, whether that is Leeds remains to be seen, but there is a player there if unlocked.
