It seems as though the 49ers aren’t messing about this summer as Leeds United are reportedly after a Champions League star.
The Champions League is a long step away for Leeds, but the Premier League is right around the corner.
This makes it understandable why the 49ers are pursuing Premier League targets for Leeds, as it seems like the best form of preparation.
It makes the 49ers’ bid for the top flight even more serious as Tammy Abraham is on Leeds’ radar, but Abraham going to Leeds has suffered a blow.
A transfer saga that is just getting started though, certainly has some legs after the player has impressed on the biggest stage of all this season.

Leeds United set to bid for ‘important’ Champions League star
The Whites’ current status doesn’t rule out their traction as a club, as there is no doubt that Daniel Farke’s side could attract Champions League talent.
Leeds should’ve signed Ferran Jutgla, who they were linked with, as the Club Brugge striker has proved vital in their European campaign.
Someone else who has been key in the competition is on-loan Wolves defender Hugo Bueno, who has shone for Feyenoord.
Bueno grabbed the assist for the Dutch side’s vital goal to knock out AC Milan this year, as Leeds fans should get excited by recent news.
According to TEAMtalk, Leeds United are considering a bid for Hugo Bueno in the summer transfer window, as Wolves may have made a big error in loaning the Spaniard out.
Farke has been impressed with Bueno and are considering a bid for the left-back who has been on Wolves’ books since 2019.
The 22-year-old has been labelled ‘important’ (De Telegraaf) for Feyenoord as they look to cause a shock in Europe, and Leeds seems very keen on acquiring him in the summer.

Leeds reignite interest after wanting Wolves defender Bueno in summer
Farke’s interest doesn’t come as a surprise, as Leeds wanted Bueno in August, and it clearly seems destined to happen.
His quality for Feyenoord will have only risen their pursuit of Bueno, as the Whites will be looking for Junior Firpo’s replacement, with it looking like Firpo is set to leave Leeds.
What the full-back possesses could be vital to Farke and Bueno has already shown this for Wolves in the Premier League before his loan, but his numbers for the Dutch side speak volumes of what the 49ers need to do.
| Bueno’s statistics in the Eredivise for Feyenoord this season | |
| Games played | 14 |
| Assists | 3 |
| Pass success % | 90.3% |
| Chances created | 17 |
| Dribble success % | 52.2% |
| Tackles won % | 92.3% |
At only 22, Farke can make a star out of Bueno, but the 49ers will have to move quickly with clubs circling.
