Leeds United fans will probably want a lifetime contract for Dan James after his performance against Watford on Tuesday night.
The Welsh winger was electric against the Hornets and has continued a fantastic season in the Championship for Leeds.
James was deservedly rated 9/10 against Watford and rightfully claimed man of the match.
The 27-year-old has really hit his stride at the Whites with Dominic Matteo saying James has become a leader.
However, James’ contract expires in June 2026, as fans will raise concerns over his future.

Dan James’ contract update at Leeds United revealed
You can’t fault the winger’s energy, as James works so hard for Leeds in training and that shows on the pitch.
This gives more reason why Daniel Farke will want to keep James beyond 2026.
Graeme Bailey has told LeedsUnited.News the latest on the 49ers’ decision to extend James at the Whites.
“They can sign him on now and have an upturn when they go up,” Bailey said.
“I heard late last year that he’s very happy.
“I think Leeds are working towards Premier League targets and James is firmly part of that future.”

Farke loves James’ one element that stands out from the rest at Leeds
The hope is there that James will sign on, and it will be hard to believe that he won’t opt to stay at Elland Road.
Mateo Joseph is another who works hard, as James admitted Joseph ‘does extras’ after Leeds training.
However, judging by Farke’s comments in the post-match press conference of the Watford win, it doesn’t seem like anyone gets close to James.
“He brought himself into such a good shape that he can now play with confidence,” Farke said.
“His work ethic is crucial and is why he is delivering what he has delivered.”
James still has another year to decide on his future, but the 27-year-old and Leeds are proving to be a match made in heaven.
