Leeds United have been extremely active on the defender front over the last 24 hours.
The Whites have agreed a deal to sign Connor Roberts on loan from Burnley for the rest of the season, with the 28-year-old set to undergo a medical ahead of his proposed switch.
A central defender is also seemingly on the radar of Daniel Farke’s side amid links to a number of different options, including Harry Souttar, Joe Worrall and Ben Godfrey.
A deal for the latter almost certainly won’t be happening, though the door may have just opened for Leeds to go and do a deal for Nottingham Forest’s Worrall.
According to Alan Nixon, Forest are now prepared to sanction a loan move before tonight’s 11pm deadline, with Leeds and Sheffield United ready to fight for his signature.

Both Yorkshire clubs reportedly saw loan offers turned by Forest for the 27-year-old last night, as they continued to hold out for a permanent deal.
However, Nixon is now reporting that Forest have dropped their £6 million asking price and have given him the ‘green light’ to seal a temporary exit today.
Worrall is keen on leaving Forest after finding himself low in the pecking order at centre-back under Nuno Espirito Santo, as he goes in search of regular game time.
It will be interesting to see how Leeds’ interest in a centre-back develops as the day goes on, with it very apparent they are in search of one given how many have been linked.
However, a new arrival in that position would leave Farke with five centre-backs, unless one of Charlie Cresswell or Liam Cooper depart, which doesn’t seem likely.
