Leeds United have made a quicker start than expected in the transfer window with the signing of Lukas Nmecha.
Nmecha made the move to Elland Road on a free transfer after seeking a new challenge upon the expiry of his contract at Wolfsburg.
The German is here for a short period to start, as Nmecha signed an initial two-year deal with the Whites.
The jury will be out on the striker who has struggled for previous clubs, but Leeds will be signing another striker, so the pressure won’t be as hot on the 26-year-old.
With the transfer considered as a new era begins at Leeds, some will welcome the signing, and some will be disappointed.

Winners of Lukas Nmecha’s move to Leeds United
The 49ers
With one signing through the door, it’s looking like Paraag Marathe’s ‘aggressive’ approach with transfers is seemingly coming to fruition.
The 49ers will get a stronger rapport after completing the move so quickly and efficiently, but more impressively, keeping it away from the media.
Nmecha’s arrival might have provided a little shock for fans who can potentially look forward to more deals being done in this manner.
Leeds fans
In the opening few weeks, it might have raised concerns among fans that transfers might not be running as smoothly as planned.
Well, this has been completely dismissed by the German’s arrival, and the unexpected announcement would have filled fans with joy.
Who knows what happens next, as Jaka Bijol agrees terms with Leeds, it could mean his arrival is just around the corner.
Daniel Farke
A pretty obvious one, but Daniel Farke will be ecstatic to see a deal come through the door, but adding to this fact is Nmecha being a fellow countryman to Farke.
It’s no secret that the Leeds boss will be exploring the Bundesliga this window, and it seems as though Farke’s transfer strategy is just beginning.
Another reason for Farke to be happy is the forward’s versatility, as although predominantly a striker, the 26-year-old is known to play behind the number nine, which could be a reliable tool in the Premier League.

Losers of Nmecha’s free transfer to Leeds
Joel Piroe
Joel Piroe hasn’t had to worry too much about his status as a striker in Leeds’ squad, but this might now change.
With Nmecha’s arrival, it provides a threat, as although Piroe looks to be a better goalscorer, Farke can rely on Nmecha for a better all-rounder when it comes to different games in the top flight.
Patrick Bamford’s name was being chanted when Piroe was in bad form, so there is every chance the fans could get on his back even more with another forward available, and as aforementioned, another striker will be signed.
Brenden Aaronson
It’s now known that Nmecha is a versatile option, and the ability to play in the No.10 role is firmly on the table.
This will send nothing but warning signs to Brenden Aaronson, who is already facing an uncertain future at Elland Road due to his performances, and Nmecha is known to play excellent passes in the final third.
The American is expected to have more competition, and with Aaronson set to lose his place, Nmecha will provide competition to ensure he doesn’t get it back.
Daniel Farke
A winner and loser in this deal is Farke, as despite the free signing being good business, there is one alarming factor about the German.
With him leaving Wolfsburg, he might bring with him his cursed injury record, as the striker has missed 77 games in his career due to injury, all happening from 19/20 onwards.
This isn’t a past problem with the Hamburg-born forward suffering recent setbacks as well, and although Nmecha is rated highly on his day, this will be concerning for the Farke.
