Leeds United can start preparing for a future with Daniel Farke after Paraag Marathe put speculation to bed.
It’s been a campaign of ups and downs, and when it looked like Farke wouldn’t remain as Whites boss, Marathe kept him at his post.
Marathe loved Farke’s belief, and that shined through up until Manor Solomon’s title-winning goal, as Leeds won their last six of the season after Leeds fans saw Farke on his ‘final straw’.

It seems like the decision to keep hold of the German is welcomed by the Whites faithful and a summer of excitement can now begin.
With the window around the corner, Marathe has already given a sneek peak into the strategy Leeds will be taking.

Paraag Marathe gives Leeds United’s transfer strategy
There will be much speculation now away from Farke and instead into who will be joining and leaving this summer.
Both areas will be explored, and it will no doubt be busy with Marathe hoping to spend £100m at Leeds.
It’s clear an aggressive approach from the 49ers will take place, as they are desperate to retain their place in the Premier League after a 100 point season.

With Marathe wanting to spend the ‘very last penny’, he has now given indication into the strategy Leeds are going to take.
Speaking in a Zoom call with the local press (Yorkshire Evening Post), the Whites owner said Farke will play a major role this summer.
“If there was a player that Daniel didn’t want, we didn’t bring him in, if there was a player that didn’t fit us for other reasons, we didn’t bring him in,” Marathe said.
“And so we’re going to work in the same way.
“We’re going to work very collaboratively, probably a little bit with a little bit more focus on making sure we’re making the right group decisions, because, let’s be honest, there’s more at stake now, more money, more jeopardy.”
Marathe will hope Farke can replicate Ao Tanaka signing
With Farke set to be in charge, his approach has already been a success after signings this season.
Ao Tanaka could be Leeds’ signing of the season, and if Farke can replicate it, he will be lauded by supporters.
His £3.4m price-tag shows the path Farke could go down, with the Bundesliga popping up on Leeds’ radar again.
If their are any new arrivals from the league that emulate Tanaka, Leeds will be just fine in the top flight.
| Ao Tanaka’s statistics in Championship with Leeds | |
| Games played | 43 |
| Goals | 5 |
| Pass accuracy % | 89.9% |
| Duels won % | 55.1% |
| Tackles won per 90 | 1.49 |
It’s a big ask to perfect every transfer in the Premier League, but Marathe has so much faith in his manager that he’s willing to put him in charge again.
And if Tanaka is anything to go by, it could be the right decision.
