Predicted Leeds United XI to face Swansea as Joel Piroe decision among two Daniel Farke changes

Daniel Farke faces a number of selection dilemmas in his Leeds United attack for the trip to Swansea City.

The Whites return to Championship action after 15 days without a game knowing a win would take them top of the table following dropped points by both Sunderland and Sheffield United.

Farke confirmed Leeds have no fresh injury concerns heading into the match despite the majority of his squad having been away on international duty over the last couple of weeks.

Largie Ramazani could also return after four matches out with ankle ligament damage, in what would be a huge boost.

Goalkeeper

One of Leeds’ few non-internationals Illan Meslier starts in goal.

Defence

Joe Rodon won his 50th cap for Wales earlier this week and so should come into this one in high spirits, as he still continues to walk the suspension tightrope.

Rodon will be partnered by Pascal Struijk in central defence with Jayden Bogle on the right after his second goal of the season last time out.

Junior Firpo is serving the second of a three-match ban and so Sam Byram looks set to start at left-back again, though Max Wober could be in contention for his first league appearance this season.

Midfield

Joe Rothwell certainly looked in need of a rest after that win over QPR and so hopefully the last two weeks have handed him the opportunity to recharge his batteries.

He will be joined in midfield by Ao Tanaka once again following an impressive display for Japan against China on Tuesday.

Attack

It is in the front four where Farke faces his most difficult decisions, with two spots arguably up for grabs.

Manor Solomon and Mateo Joseph were both handed starts last time out but it wouldn’t be a surprise if they made way this afternoon. Dan James and Joel Piroe look likely to come in.

Making up the rest of the team is Wilfried Gnonto and Brenden Aaronson, with Ramazani hopefully taking a spot on the bench.
