Today is an extremely busy one for those in Leeds United’s squad away on international duty.

Daniel Farke will have both his fingers and toes crossed that all of his players return with a clean bill of health ahead of the Good Friday trip to Watford, which kick starts the promotion run-in.

Leeds’ Welsh quartet, of course, headline those in action from the Whites for their respective country, and Farke will certainly be hoping their European Championships play-off final does not go to extra-time.

Archie Gray, Charlie Cresswell, Willy Gnonto, Liam Cooper, Mateo Joseph, Junior Firpo and Glen Kamara are the other players in action today, and Farke will be delighted with the involvement of the latter.

After losing 4-1 to Wales last week, Finland concluded their March international break with a friendly against Estonia, the other beaten semi-finalist from that side of the draw.

Given the lack of importance surrounding the fixture, Finland opted to go with a much changed XI from the side that were beaten in Cardiff on Thursday.

Finland ran out 2-1 winners over Estonia earlier this evening but the good news for Leeds and Farke is that Kamara did not even get off the bench.

Kamara has played practically every week in Leeds’ midfield over the last few months and so to see some sensible management from a country’s manager will delight Farke.

That will mean between Kamara’s match against Wales, and Leeds’ upcoming trip to Watford, the £5.5 million summer signing from Rangers will have had eight days without a game.

While others may return from international duty a little jaded, Kamara certainly won’t be and he should be fully refreshed ready to hit the ground running at Vicarage Road.

He is once again likely to be joined by Ilia Gruev in central midfield, who was also sensibly managed by Bulgaria yesterday, as he was brought off at half-time.

Predicted Leeds XI to face Watford

Kamara would appear to be one last selection doubt for Farke heading into Watford, but he will be watching the rest of tonight’s games behind the sofa.

Providing everyone else returns fit and healthy, Firpo and Georginio Rutter will be the only doubts for Friday for different reasons.

Firpo is still in action for the Dominican Republic in the early hours of Wednesday morning all the way over in Peru, and so Sam Byram is almost a certain starter.

Rutter, meanwhile, will be touch and go having undergone minor surgery on a hernia last week, which the club said would see him back playing in 10 days.
